Guest Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Instaled "Hero Console Hybrid", it works fine, BUT it takes more time to boot. Anyone same problem? Im on modaco 3.1 Have you tested this or was this just the impression when you booted it the first time after you installed the new bootscreen?
Guest tdohappens Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 first of all, thanks for the bootscreen, it's kewl and geeky B) i just wanted a green version and i decided to make it myself because it took me little time. hope u don't mind. imported the gifs in photoshop and added: * color balance layer with green +100, cyan -100, yellow -100 * exposure: offset -0.0916 [to make it a bit darker] * saturation: +30 [to make it greener] * channel mixer: red: +50 [instead of +100] [to make some alien white dots go away] [and i changed the layer order for the hybrid to not affect the hero logo.] and i hope you make it part of your bootscreen :) a custom green special edition console: http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/5619/consolegreen.gif hybrid: http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7466/hybridgreen.gif loading: http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/899/loadinggreen.gif (* images may take a while to fully load)
Guest Dr. dre Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 I'm not sure, there 2 boot things, one is the splash which depends on your SPL, and the other one is the boot animation. Also, you must have a recovery image to flash the file... Actually I wanted to change my splash screen, but anyways thanks for the support.
Guest shenshang Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) @tdohappens oh you can import gifs into photoshop without losing the animation? heh, ill try later today and hopefully have something by friday. Also you're ones are a bit too green for me :) Edited February 1, 2010 by shenshang
Guest tdohappens Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 i used photoshop cs4. for older versions cs1 and cs2 [not sure about cs3] you must use image ready in cs4, image ready is integrated into photoshop for photoshop cs4 you can import gifs but not by opening the gif normally like another format yo must go to: file > import > video frames to layers it will show only video formats but if you type "*.gif" [without quotes] in the name field and hit enter, it will show the gif files [you don't have a view "all file types" option, you must type "*.gif"] to view the frames you go to window > animation, it will show you the animation window at the bottom and you must click the button in the bottom right corner. to save the file you must use "file > save for web and devices" [the normal save option doesn't work for animated gifs] these are the first gifs i saved. the green is lighter but i for one didn't like it this way. http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5619/consolegreen.gif http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/7466/hybridgreen.gif http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/899/loadinggreen.gif
