Guest batista70 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 After flashing this I get stuck on the splashing Nexus logo. Same thing happens after I re-flashed. I seems like an infinite loop. Any help will be appreciated!! Did you try a wipe ???
Guest digitalrio Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Did you try a wipe ??? No.. not yet.. will try it next, thanks. BTW is this "baked" file name normal? 5.0-beta5-update-cm-kitchen-signed-MD5-4ec7bfca67cfb962a41920959b871e71.zip The reason being that I never in the past had that long string before the .zip
Guest batista70 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I installed this one : Base configuration (standard CyanogenMod with Google bits) and it works without any problem

Paul's just started adding the MD5 string to the file name now so you can check the MD5 to ensure the file's not been corrupted during the download process. It's a nice touch.

Guest BTJ Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I have heard some negative comments about the new radio image... Is it worth upgrading to the new radio or should I wait for the next update? Regards, BTJ
Guest DistortedLoop Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I have heard some negative comments about the new radio image... Is it worth upgrading to the new radio or should I wait for the next update? I've got better than ever reception with my N1 now. More bars in more places than before, and service in most of my house, which was pretty much a dead zone until the radio update. One issue with WiFi not working this morning after updating to Beta 5, though after a power-off reboot, everything's working great so far.
Guest BTJ Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Some reported problems with gps, sometimes using long time to get a fix and sometimes not... BTJ
Guest bananachunks Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I just gotta say that it's SO nice being able to bake and download from the N1. Then a quick recovery, update, reboot, and everything's fantastic.... Thank you!
Guest mrfrog88 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 why do you include the wireless tether for root app if it force quits on startup??

Guest BrumBrum74 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Paul: Did a full wipe before I installed this rom and then gapps 2 from Cyanogens thread on xda forums and wifi is buggy. Can turn on wi-fi, but when I try to connect to a network I get: The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Any clue what could be wrong?
Guest Paul Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Strange, does the same happen if you install the non-kitchened ROM? P
Guest BrumBrum74 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Sorry Paul. Forgot to say I installed this com: Base configuration (standard CyanogenMod with Google bits) with MoDaCo additions (see kitchen for details, A2SD and alternate APN list excluded) - download

Reflashed phone and it works. Flashed a theme and then wi-fi broke. So I will be without the theme. No big deal. Thanks for trying to help.
Guest android_lovah Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 used to have WiFi problems after unlock&root, but then I installed CMb5 and I was very happy that I even can connect now to my Ad-hoc WiFi network. the only difference I observed is that I used to have the 3G icon in the taskbar, indicating a 3G connection. now, in bad signal locations I have only GPRS and in best cases HSPDA. what went wrong?
Guest Paul Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 CM has the HSDPA icon, the stock ROM does not. You're just seeing that you're getting a HSDPA connection, which is > 3G. P

Guest hkfriends Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Hi Paul, another version (stable) is released, please help to migrate it in online kitchen here :-) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623496 thx :D

People complaining of no location services, market issues, etc. Cyanogen says "Guess there will be a .1 coming later."
