Guest Formel-LMS Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I did a black Bar for Cyanogen ROM Modaco ist themeable.... Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633034
Guest Paraglider Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I backed an ROM with Titanium Backup, Wired + Wireless Tether and Wave Secure then did a fresh wipe and finally only Wave Secure was installed. The other tools baked in not. I just wanted to confirm this that way. Before I backed an ROM with Wired + Wireless Tether only just to update CM Beta5 to 5.02 stable and there it was nearly the same. Only Wired Tether was installed, Wireless not. And Wire Tether also had before on the phone. Is is depending on me or os something wrong with the kitchen? I for my part just backed with features I wanted and then flashed as normal via Recovery.
Guest The Jeffster Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Hi Paul, not sure your getting my PM's but I still don't have access to the kitchen and my PayPal cleared on the 4th of Feb - can we get this working really keen to try the kitchen out - thanks heaps.
Guest mzach Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Hi, after upgrading from 5.0b5 to 5.0.2, WiFi Tethering is not working anymore. After starting the application and clicking on the screen it just gives an "unexpected error" and crashes. An adb logcat output can be found at http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-teth...s/detail?id=259 I just flashed the new radio based on ERE36B prior to updating to 5.0.2 (no WIPE). Obviously it has an error using libnativetask.so (saying it's missing or not readable) - any hints on this one? Thanks!
Guest Dayzee Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Superb :D Still playing but no issues have jumped out at me just yet. For thosde looking for a simple black status bar, try this one - its just a black status bar change, nothing else - Apply as a zip from recovery - working fine with CM 5.0.2 stable xx Very small file as it only changes the bar. :D http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...7336&page=3 PS LOVE the new cyan boot and just spotted the tiny android guy in the centre of the cross...

ERE36B / 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2 radio - update zip format ? Thank you you flashed CM5 and do not have multitouch in browser/gallery? maybe something went wrong when updating? apply the radio update first, let it run until it says its finished. then flash your rom of choice. you don't necessarily have to flash a stock rom from the page you linked, but they will do if you do not want additional features (in that case install MCR, CM5 or Enomther).
Guest Mantisen Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I flashed to 5.0.2 from beta 5 (with 36B radio + RIL flashed on the beta 5) without wiping or anything like that, and it's working like a charm this far :D Really love the new bootscreen, even though I dont reboot that often :D
Guest lmjabreu Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Odd, I lost root after flashing a 5.0.2 kitchen build, no SU no nothing.
Guest Mantisen Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Odd, I lost root after flashing a 5.0.2 kitchen build, no SU no nothing. Tried wiping and reflashing? It was working great for me from the start (upgraded from beta 5 as I said in my previous post).
Guest DistortedLoop Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) Odd, I lost root after flashing a 5.0.2 kitchen build, no SU no nothing. That's been a common complaint over on the xda-development forum. Wipe and reflash should get you going, but you could try just reflashing it if you don't have a good backup of apps and settings. Titanium backup and MyBackUp Pro have been "lifesavers" for me since playing around with new ROMs. Edited February 15, 2010 by DistortedLoop

Guest Dayzee Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 For some reason, I have had a message about data and an aborted install every time I try to install CM ROMs from kitchen without wiping. Always solved with a wipe but that is indeed a pain. Here is what I do to make it less painful. 1 - Nandroid back up 2 - put just the data.img part of that nandroid back up into my sdk/tools folder to flash after the rom 3 - put my newly baked kitchen rom onto root of my sdcard 4 - Boot into recovery and wipe, then install zip of ROM 5 - once booted up on new ROM fine and dandy, I shutdown and boot into fastboot USB 6 - Flash the data.img from the nandroid back using these commands fastboot devices (just to check device is seen) fastboot flash userdata data.img 7 - then reboot and all is good. :D Dayz xx

Guest jahmann Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) I've also problems with the 5.0.2 (incl. addons) I can install the update, but the following apps aren't installed (both sample or baked): - Titanium Backup - WaveSecure - WiFi Tethering these are all stored in data partition... what can be the problem? When i waited one moment, the app Titanium Backup was downloading/installing automatic from market. (Should it not be installed with the mod?) Edited February 15, 2010 by jahmann

Guest superwario Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I'm confused, does this cyanogen 5.0.2 include the new ERE36B and superboot w/ HIMEM? Or just ERE36B without radio AND without superboot HIMEM? If the second one is the case, is this the order of installation of components: 5.0.2 baked with all the goods > new ere36B radio update > superboot (HIMEM) BTW I currently have installed ERE27, the radio update from the last ERE27 modified to work with the custom recovery, and superboot HIMEM if that helps. Sorry guys, my n00bness is pretty epic, I realize that.
Guest joint Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 a question also for me about radio : is better the radio from ereb36 or the radio from ciano ? also I don't understand if in modaco rom there is inside the superboot HIMEM or need to flash it ? tks and sorry if my questions are "nubbies" ..... :D

Guest AndyCr15 Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I did a black Bar for Cyanogen ROM Modaco ist themeable.... Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633034 Please explain how I install this. Simply by recovery flashing the zip? Titanium backup and MyBackUp Pro have been "lifesavers" for me since playing around with new ROMs. Two questions here - Can Titanium Backup take apps backed up while using a ROM using A2SD and restore them on a ROM that doesn't? Does MyBackUp Pro do automatic backups? I lost 5 days of text's cause I had an issue with installing a theme and then a Nandroid wouldn't boot back up :D
