Guest JimNu Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Sorry for being a bit thick, but can someone tell me what a 3 pin and 2 pin jack is in relation to headphones? And how can you tell if a 2.5/3.5 pair of headphones are 2/3 pin?? If you look at the included headphones or adapter there are three sections to the plug, each separated by a band of plastic. These are to provide stereo and voice. In a 'normal' stereo headset there's just two sections. Edit: I'd mis-remembered, it's four sections on the pulse connectors and three sections on a standard connector Edited January 29, 2010 by JimNu
Guest twe Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 The other problem that bugs me is that listening to music via bluetooth headphones the loudspeaker remains on and drains the battery away.... [can hear it hissing]
Guest helikopter Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 can't this whole issue be solved by manipulating the phone on the software side? just to make it work normally with 3 pin headphones, too.
Guest jonathonf Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Yes, the Autostarts app will disable the input jack trigger. In fairness it's worth the 60p/69c. Though it should really be a built-in option (and it probably is in later Android versions).
