Guest Polleoh Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Hi, Just a question. If I am installing programs to 'My Storage' why does it take up device storage? Is there another way since I cannot install too many programs even though there is 16 gb in 'my storage.' Thank you,

Thank you, Every application installed through the CAB installer interface creates a manifest in \Windows\AppMgr to facilitate clean removal (uninstall). Depending on the complexity of the app, this manifest can be sizable. So, even when you install the app on My Storage or a Storage Card, some space will still be used on Main Storage for this manifest. You can save this space -- several MB if you have a lot of apps installed -- by moving \Windows\AppMgr files periodically off to secondary storage, like My Storage. However, if you do this, you have to remember to put the relevant application folder back to \Windows\AppMgr prior to uninstalling, or the uninstall will fail.
