Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Got it booted, 'modemPre' is hogging the foreground tho, strange. Suppose I better put a SIM in! :) P
Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I'll post a rooted update zip of this in the morning peeps (or earlier if I get a chance). P
Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Booted, very generic, looks good, no pinkness, no major RIL changes I assume as calls work fine, excellent! :) P
Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Heh, I can't resist, uploading now in update.zip rooted format. :) P
Guest klutsh Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Maybe 'modemPre' has something to do with the 'Integrated Modem' listed on the bouyguestelecom site Source
Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 This isn't a Bouygues ROM, unlike the previous U8230 one! Oh, the in call dialer is still PINK! Think Huawei have missed that one, lol... P
Guest Paul Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Update: now available as a rooted update zip in first post. Nandroid backup before applying. Interested to hear your thoughts! P

Guest Rem1x Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Ah, I see now it's for the US u8230, well according to the build.prop heh, so don't install this on our pulses?
Guest klutsh Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) heh, so don't install this on our pulses? I never said that, Just it's set up for the US region, I'm sure Paul has it safe enough for use outside the US May also explain the difference in any ROM size. Edited February 2, 2010 by klutsh
Guest Shuflie Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Anyone try out mms with it yet? Might make the progress being made in the O2 MMS problems thread redundant if it really is a generic ROM that doesn't need the apparent T-Mobile lock down put into it, or were files needed from the T-Mobile ROM to get it working? Edited February 2, 2010 by Shuflie

Guest John Hamelink Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Any news on whether us Brits should install or not?
Guest bindi Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Any first hand reviews yet? Good, bad, stable?
Guest Rem1x Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Any news on whether us Brits should install or not? It works, but you're not missing much, heh edit:lower neocore benchmark then the T-Mobile style MCR with loads of s*** on it. Same unlock screen, servo search is still there. Guest screwface Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Would be cool if you ripped out all the language support except English to save room and offered the other languages in an optional download pack.
Guest robot1000 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Found New feature (I think): Send contacts via bluetooth Edited February 2, 2010 by robot1000
Guest ndot Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Can someone test if headset volume is any louder and if music plays out of the loud speaker when notifications come though? Thanks
Guest Shuflie Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Didn't work 1st time, so I'm about to do a wipe and then going to retry Will keep you posted Edit MMS is still not working Bugger, would have been nice. Not that I need it with my Nexus One now, but I'd still like to get the Pulse "fully" operational to either sell or pass on.
