How to Prove Defective Performance - Diagonstic Tools?

Are there any tools out there for WM devices that will do things such as memory tests, or computation tests?

I'm having the problem that I think an O2 is defective as after hard reset and reinstall of SPB and some other programs, lagginess is still there, that is not on another O2 that I did the same thing to. I suspect if I bring this in to verizon, they will say you have SPB on there so thats your problem, use the stock interface. Then even if I do that, I suspect they will say, there will be some lag naturally as it is a windwos mobile smart phone, this is not a defect, blah blah.

How can I get some proof, for myself and possibly to show, that the phone is not right?

I thought of that, but I'm thinking benchmarking more is based on time, not accuracy of results. I was thinking I'd need some sort of memory analyzer that writes and reads blocks to ensure correctness, and same sort of thing with computation.
