Help with 2m6,5 i8000 BT DUN Profile? How? Possible?

Hi all,

Can anyone help point me to any guide on enabling bluetooth DUN in WM6.5 i8000?

Because internet sharing sucks, and its troubling having to open the app first. I wish I could just dial in the laptop anytime I want to use the phone's data connection in the PC, just like the older WM5.

Hey there -- found this thread..

This method *should* work -- problem is the files you need to extract to /windows are protected and will get overwritten upon soft reboot.

This would have to be cooked into a rom afaik...

And I'm still not sure if it will work on WM 6.5...

Anyways, I ended up settling on PDANet...it costs money but it DID work.

I tried it with my iPad (via ibluever app from cydia) and on my XP laptop -- bluetooth DUN profile works properly.

All I can say is -- badword microsoft...this feature was built in to WM until they removed it in favor of PAN...

PAN support for ICS is *great* -- but why not just have BOTH?
