Guest franciswills
I see that there are 2.1 ROMs around with Sense installed (VillianROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622468 for example). I'm currently using the CyanogenMod ROM jnwhite's put together and really like it. The one thing I really really miss is having the HTC widgets. Is it possible to install the necessary parts of Sense to get this working, or is it heavily involved? I ask this from work having not had a change to start navigating around the adb shell yet. Thanks for any help/opinions
Guest Bantumi
My understanding is that certain parts of the AOSP and Sense roms don't play well at all, so it's quite a lot of work to manage to get a ROM together without force closings etc.
Guest Repp
I don't know how hard that would be to overcome, but as I remember it, the HTC widgets don't even show up in any other widget lists than in the Sense home list.
Guest franciswills
Ah yes, true. I guess they may well not use the same API then. Grrrrrr, hurry up HTC! ;)
