Opera Mobile 9.5 build 18452-JB1, YouTube v2.2.43 (updated on 02/24/10)

As per request by some lite & ultralite rom users,

I'd packed the Opera Mobile 9.5 build 1452 using files & registry from secany JB1 official rom. (Thanks again secany)

Take notes, install it to Device only.

I had also packed the YouTube v2.2.43 using files from secany JA5 official rom, the same version found in latest JB1 rom too.

This installation file can be install it to Device, My Storage or Storage Card.

Opera 02/20 installation file has been removed as some how it contained unknown file and diff registry entries that cause problem to installing it (corrupted?) :D

Currently working on it, will re-uploaded again once fully tested. All ppl, sorry for the inconvenient

02/24 update - new Opera Mobile 9.5 build 18452 JB1 [NewForce] 022410 installation file

This new package has been installed & fully tested working normally on KSTAN 23518-JA5 / 23529 JA5 and Khuanchai i8000KC21889A5 lite PDA rom's.

together with Eboot & Phone parts from secany JB1 rom + J2 CSC on Singapore J9 rom.

Appreciate all helps to feedback was there any problem to the rom that you are using after downloaded and installed on your Omnia2. Thanks!

I see, KC rom removed more official rom apps than I've thought.

Maybe you want to try to use one of the KSTAN JA5 lite rom?

Yes Opera 9.5 does not support the "questionable" turbo mode.

Really really really sorry NewForce, but how do I open the second part of the rar file?? I get "fatal error encountered" when I try to open it. How do I put these two rar files together? :D

onmyway, once downloaded both part1 & 2 files to a folder, you need to use WinRAR or 7zip program to extract it successfully.

Opera Mobile 9.5 build 18452. Enjoy! :D

Ok, I've found the trouble in my old Opera 02/20 package.

I make many Opera packages and somehow uploaded a problem one, which I had happen to fully deleted the one that was OK to installation.

I had make a new Opera 02/24 installation file one on top post.

Installed & fully tested working normally on KSTAN 23518-JA5 / 23529 JA5 and Khuanchai i8000KC21889A5 lite PDA rom's.

Btw -Ray, I happen to packed one YouTube installation file extract from secany JA5, the same version also found in latest JB1 rom.

It was the latest 2.2.43 version designed for i8000 Omnia2. You can download from 2nd post of this thread.

Btw, by default in Opera settings Advanced "Identify as" option selected to "Handheld device" so everytime you visit YouTube website it will open up m.youtube.com, the Mobile YouTube webpage instead of the normal www.youtube.com.

In order for Opera to open normal YouTube web page, you'll need to set "Identify as" to "Desktop computer".

Alternately, you can click the "Desktop" link button at the bottom of Mobile YouTube webpage to switch to www YouTube web page.

The advantage of Opera 9.5 was, it supporting Flash video which the latest Opera10 Beta version did not.

A lots of us/ppl misses this feature, so has choosen to switched from the usage of Opera10 back to Opera 9.5. :(
