1st time flashing, need confirmation for steps

Halo,

I think I am ready to flash my omnia 2. I have read various post I hope I am doing it right. Please help me confirm this.

I want to use 25.Jan.10 Secany WM65 ROM.

I have download:

OCTANS_Downloader_v2.13

CSC_I8000NXXJA5.csc

PDA_I8000NXXJA5_HW_40.mst

Phone_I8000XXJA3.bin

Eboot_I8000NXXJA5_HW_40.eb0

Run octans 2.13 and select

Eboot: Eboot_I8000NXXJA5_HW_40

MultiCSC: CSC_I8000NXXJA5

MoviNAND:PDA_I8000NXXJA5_HW_40.mst

Phone: Phone_I8000XXJA3.bin

Then click detect then start downloading. Is that all I need to do? Do I need to pick certain file in CSC file select?

Assuming you installed usb drivers correctly, you did all fine. CSC file sets up some operator and region-specific predefined settings, but nothing you can't change after flashing, so choose anyone and try it for yourself.

Remember, after setting all files, FIRST click DETECT before plugging phone, TURN OFF PHONE, while disconnected, and then PLUG IT WHILE IN OFF STATE. Octans screen will enable button 'Start downloading'. click it and you're all set.

Tick Preserve Device Contents if like to maintain data inside 'My Storage', switch off your phone then start downloading.

I just did it. The octan display. Job done launched in top right corner.

The omnia show window logo in orange background and it beeps. It says top the screen to setup your phone.

Then it restart again.

Is it safe to disconnect now?

Once 'Job done launched' displays you are safe to disconnect. At times i have found that this does not come up, but the phone update is completed. Once you see the main screen or 'Adjust time and date', the download has completed and it is safe to disconnect.

Once you see this, its done. The Octans side should have shown Completed.
