OMNIA 2 I8000 BIG PROBLEM

alot of ppl lost their phone network signal after flashing roms and after doing HARD RESET

until now no one knows how to deal with this prob and the only cure is to send it to samsung company to change the MOTHERBOARD!!! how can software prob damage the hardware..

I'm facing similar situation; though network signals on my omnia 2 i8000 device are still ok.. However I can't use Internet anymore now after few Hard Resets.. I can configure internet settings manually, however, unable to surf.. <_< and I'm very upset for this strange problem.

did you try to reflash with another phone and eboot?? i have not faced this kind of problems before...

eboot? I'm facing this problem since two weeks now <_< I don't know why internet settings can be configured but internet can't be used. Even if I use USB connection, it still doesn't connect. Previously it was working fine; I only needed to plug the cable with my PC and my mobile started to use internet from PC.. however, after reseting my device I can no longer use internet.. too frustrating isn't it

hmm is it because wifi cannot be turned on or detect?? there seems to be a thread about wifi problems... its due to sktools and some other programs that installed bad but its fixed for new sktools version..

since your phone is still new u can try another hard reset...

usually flashing a new rom heals all problems there is to be..

I can turn-on wifi.. however, the problem is different. I've configured internet settings as per feedback from my mobile carrier.. it gives me an error message saying "cannot connect for an unknown reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again".

so as per instructions i've tried to reset it, but the problem remains same <_<

well this issues happens to me each time i flash a new ROM (PDA other parts are original not risking it since they all work) Internet never works after a new ROM gets installed but i am able to fix the issue.

1.) Go into samsung settings and go trough the tabs till you find "restore connections"

2.) open up opera/IE,pages might load if not you should get a message box go into settings then bottom tab internet (i think its called) then networks and make sure both (personal/work) are set to my internet.

3.) in Opera you have to go into options connections and then check the box that says decent automatically.

I know point 2 is not that detailed don't have my phone on me to check.

hello there

today i hard reset my device using the 4 keys method (not the first time-i did it before with no problems), after that the device could not detect the gsm network , but it connect normally to wifi... i tryed the following :

1- change sim card

2- change sim card to another operator

3- hard reset using the "clear memory" method

4- hard reset using the #*ect. method

5- flashed a new pda (i tried 2 different) now jd4 sinan

6- flashed the phone.bin to jd1

7- flashed eboot

ALL FAILED

PDA Is working fine but NO phone :)((

please help .. any help could be appreciated

I only have problem with Rapid81 various ROM. After booting up just after flashing. It does not auto detect SIM card. So I have problem to connect to the internet. In the first time, it try to connect to T-Mobile which was not my Telco. I flashed to his ROM on the first time, browser not working, so I bring the phone to the Telco company asked for help and learned how to manually setup. But after hard reset or restore connection, all the setup was gone. I need to manually setting up again.

I used twu2 je1, je2 and Gary most of his ROM without the problem. So I will suggest go try up twu2 lite ROM and see the result. Even I fellow twu2 topic on how to cook rom. With my owned ROM also no problem. It will auto selection of SIM card all the time when the new SIM card was inserted.
