Guest dwallersv Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Wow... I totally missed MS4!
Guest Snow02 Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 SPB made enough money off mobile shell sales due to Touchwiz that they covered version 4 costs before it was even released.
Guest jebise Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 what features and updates/tweaks are added?
Guest xaznxplaya Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 what features and updates/tweaks are added? Wondering the same, tried to look for a video on youtube but no success, hopefully some spaces in the rams would be awesome.

Guest plguzman Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 In that forum there's somebody who says that the lack of "4" version is because a chinese superstition that says that number 4 is related with bad luck or death...
Guest chriswells13 Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 what features and updates/tweaks are added? The link in the first post tells you what is new, but in a vague way: Come February 15th, at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, the SPB team is set to unveil version number 5. In the new version, SPB Mobile will continue it’s tradition of highly-customizable and efficient 3D graphics. Below is a list of features that you can expect for the latest release: * breathtaking 3D functionality * completely customizable * a huge number of widgets * even more improved usability * multi-platform capable The new release will be available for not only Windows Mobile but Android and Symbian devices as well.
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Wow... I totally missed MS4! Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. MS 4.0 was never officially released, and as far as I know, there isn't even an unofficial version floating around out there either.

Now if that were true, I'd find it very interesting because the developers are Russian. ;)
Guest Khisha Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 In that forum there's somebody who says that the lack of "4" version is because a chinese superstition that says that number 4 is related with bad luck or death... Especially when this company is Russian. ;)
Guest plguzman Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Especially when this company is Russian. :D LMAO! Didn't know that... Maybe some chinese programmers there? ;)
Guest GinKage Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 LMAO! Didn't know that... Maybe some chinese programmers there? It's not a programmers' thing. It's that the product will be used world-wide, and it would be quite annoying to lose all the Chinese users just because of version number...

I never thought of it that way.

Guest thopeter Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) Hi, have some of you never recognized that in some hotels there is neither a fourth nor a thirteenth floor or that e.g. Canon never sold a Power Shot G4, but a G3 and G5 camera? Now you guys know why. ;) However, as far as I know, it's especially Japan who dislikes the number 4. BTW, I am really looking forward to the new version of SPB Mobile Shell, especially the fact that it shall be completely customizable. Have a nice day, Thorsten Edited February 12, 2010 by thopeter

And yet, they are some of the most avid golfers on the planet ;) (I know, I know, it's "fore!", but the joke works anyway..._)
