Thats because the kernel sends a pseudo multitouch to the android..

Android 1.6 deletes the second touch information, so this method sends the distance from the two fingers with the coordinates of the touch in the midpoint of the fingers..

Only applications that decodes this methode can use it with pinch zoom for example..

Oh so basically all you can do basically is pinch-zoom functionality, since it can't register both touches independently? Is that so?

Sorry i'm just trying to understand ;)

I get off class very late, but i will try to make release with new boot.img at 1am US pacific time ;)

for who don't has adb in your pc please download here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?tqv2nojdjzm

in windows

you need to have acer drivers installed, then do:

adb.exe logcat
in linux if you dont already have this, do
echo "SUBSYSTEM==\"usb\", ATTRS{idVendor}==\"0502\", ATTRS{idProduct}==\"0c01\", MODE=\"0666\", OWNER=\"<YOUR USERNAME>\"" >> /etc/udev/rules.d/51.android.rules

echo "SUBSYSTEM==\"usb\", ATTRS{idVendor}==\"0502\", ATTRS{idProduct}==\"0c02\", MODE=\"0666\", OWNER=\"<YOUR USERNAME>\"" >> /etc/udev/rules.d/51.android.rules
change your user name in OWNER. reboot your pc if needed go to the folder you unpacked the adb zip and do
sudo ./adb kill-server

sudo ./adb start-server

./adb logcat

try removing your battery and the do this:

1. hit camera + volume down and without releasing them hit power button and the phone will vibrate two times. Release.

2. Just hit the power button and wait for it to boot into recovery.
