Guest meabigbaldguy Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) There were some really nice custom Phone Ex themes that were available in WQVGA for the i900, but I was wondering if there were some custom WVGA/VGA themes that anyone would like to share here. Thanks to anyone who does! ;) Edited February 11, 2010 by meabigbaldguy

When I started the thread yesterday, every instance of "PhoneEx" became "Spam alert". I didn't catch this until sometime after I created the thread, and I had to go back and do some editing. The second time around there weren't any more problems, but it seems that the same thing has happened to you, Xfallen. So if anyone reads Spam alert, then try not to be too confused. I don't know why that's happening. Anyway, xfallen, I too, am using the same theme - gothic blue. There were some very nice custom wqvga themes posted in the i900 forum so I was just wondering if perhaps anyone had any O2 compatible themes to share here. Edited February 12, 2010 by meabigbaldguy

I think the reason it goes to spam alert, is that that company gives away free copies of the program if people post good reviews about it to forums sites such as this. So a lot of sites flag it as spam.

So a lot of sites flag it as spam. Thanks, Chris. That explains that. By way, how are things in Camarillo these days? I was through there, back in December, on my way to San Simeon. It sure was nice to get away from the cold European winter, and into the California coastal weather that I miss so much. I'm originally from San Diego myself.

All default photos are stored in a folder along with the program, so this means that you should be able to go to Contacts tab and then select Filter. When you see the Categories tab appear, select which group of contacts to use the photo - in you case ALL CONTACTS. Done. I can't remember if this is exactly the way to go about setting it because it depends on which version you using, but it should be more or less so accurate. In any case, it's possible.

Guest meabigbaldguy Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) do you have a cab for it? The app is called PhoneEx. It's not freeware so we can't post the CAB here. Edited February 13, 2010 by meabigbaldguy

I've tried it myself and it works on mine. I'm using v. 2.0.2, but I don't have that particular wallpaper. Anyway, here's what I must do to set a wallpaper... - Press the CONTACTS tab twice - When the pop up appears, press CATEGORY. - Assuming that you want the same photo for all calls, then select ALL CONTACTS. - Press the CATEGORY tab again and select PHOTO. - This will take you to the default folders in the program for stock avatars and wallpaper. Yours is most likely in the Wallpaper folder. - You can also select custom photos from My Pictures as well. I know that the functions here will differ depending on the version you are using. But the main point is too look in CONTACTS and CATEGORY.

Guest chriswells13 Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 It's really annoying. Head over XDA and do a search for P.h.o.n.e.x (without the periods) Themes and WVGA and you'll find some. I had P.h.o.n.e.x on my Omnia i910 and that's where I got my last theme. I really liked P.h.o.n.e.x (and no I'm not trying to get a free copy by saying that). I will probably add it to my i920 once I decide which ROM I am going to flash. And things in Camarillo are great, some of the best year round weather you'll find anywhere. Only downside at the moment is the sucky US and especially California economy.

I did a google search and got a hit on some stuff over at XDA so perhaps this may be the same thing. I have yet to look. Anyway, US economy - especially in CA, is indeed not so good. This is probably a reason while I'll stay put in Europe until things do clear up there. At least the Social Services here in Germany are far better than they ever will be in CA. I do miss home though. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
