Guest wurzelsepp Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) As the title says a new version of opera mobile is out. You can download it for free here. http://www.opera.com/mobile/ Edit: just tested it and i have to say its way better then beta 2u -no more lags -extremly smooth -no input lag anymore -sites load a littl faster (in my opnion) -i think it uses a little less ram -it has flash support and plazing videos is much smoother compared to opera 9 5 but what i also recocnized is that there is a little more checkerboard Edited February 12, 2010 by wurzelsepp
Guest Rothariger Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 thanks for the info... i will try with the new JB1... ;)
Guest surenz Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I can confirm that the beta 3 is very stable, faster loading of pages and not so blocking all the phone while is loading a page. Even some pages with Flash content are running ;) The only problems I faced are that sometimes the pages don't load at all (appears everytime when I choose the non-mobile version of a page) and some of the images are very slow to load. I don't use the Opera Turbo and tried via Bluetooth Activesync connection.
Guest fireonhigh Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I try to watch video on bbc world news and it say i have the wrong flashplayer,,, i then clicked a link correct version ,and it takes me to adobe, only i dont know what to download there......any ideas???
Guest wurzelsepp Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 There's currently only flash lite 3.1 available on windows mobile (and on all other mobile operating systems) which doesn't support all flash codecs
Guest surenz Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) Now I retried via Wifi and the pages were loading lot faster and without problems. Seems like the flash суппорт is not very well implemented because a page on Youtube once showed me the video and just after a minute refresh page said me to go take the last flash player from Adobe. But at least there is a movement to the right direction ;) Another old problem is that with 55 MB free if I open 2-3 tabs and go to the Today screen, the Opera is closing itself. Guest dwallersv Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Well, I like it -- A LOT!!! It is such a big big big improvement over 9.5. Anyone know how to get 9.5 bookmarks into 10?
Guest DLCI Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) Well, I like it -- A LOT!!! It is such a big big big improvement over 9.5. Anyone know how to get 9.5 bookmarks into 10? I'm also curious how comes that bookmarks are not simply been exported between the Opera revisions as html file. And the multiple tabs issue has been always kind of useless as it kills the device. Overall good impressions so far from 10b3, but...when I think that this is the N-th beta and is the ONLY real browser available for WM...after so many years development.. Ridiculous. And Opera wants to present it to the GSM congress next week as something innovative and new?! No comment. I'm starting to loose my patience to the MS & Co - if apple can do it from the 1st try and xda-devs within 2 months, then my money and effort should go there... :D P.S. sorry for being too pessimistic, but I'm deeply disappointed. My next device shall be either from apple or nokia. At least they do what is written in the specs. Edited February 12, 2010 by DLCI
Guest xaznxplaya Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I don't know if it's me but about the speed I barely noticed a small improvement, I don't always have 3G+, though, tried on Wifi it seems a bit more stable. By the way, is it me or when you scroll down a page there's a big white space as if it's lacking of video memory.
Guest eemrun Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 whenever i click on a video in youtube, it takes me straight to windows media player. anyway to fix that?
Guest surenz Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 whenever i click on a video in youtube, it takes me straight to windows media player. anyway to fix that? ... and better to redirect you because the youtube video play is terrible  Be sure to switch on the plugins from Settings And it continues to give me the message: take a flash player from Adobe even when I have been played the flash a minutes ago :D so this is another beta of course :D
Guest modke Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 And Opera wants to present it to the GSM congress next week as something innovative and new?! No comment. Who said they are presenting it as something new?
Guest Shiryu Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 My next device shall be either from apple or nokia. At least they do what is written in the specs.Yeah. But I would prefer something on Android. Nokia's Symbian is even worse than MS & WM...
Guest DLCI Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) Yeah. But I would prefer something on Android. Nokia's Symbian is even worse than MS & WM... It's a bit <offtopic> so I'd like to excuse myself. I also feel symbian not better than WM, but at least on nokias all programs & wifi work on standby, fring has video support, real multitasking, each application can have a diff internet access, perfect cameras, FM radio + transmitter... Android is even buggier, slow and limited than WM2003. And it's tied to google, which gets peoples data at all costs with useless and half working services (g-calendar, buzz). Not speaking about the HTC policy to bring halfway made products (with huge HW issues/limits) every 3 months and gently forgets to support them. Blah, because of the bloody Microsoft I have to choose between the next old Symbian and <beep&limited> iphone... </offtopic> Speaking about the current Opera 10b3, I think the startup has become a bit slower & I started to see the autokill bug quite often - perhaps 10b3 occupies more memory than 10b2? Guest surenz Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 do i have to install flash lite by my self? i couldnt watch porntube videos! :D No the flash plug-ins are included but seems that don't support all types of flash content or version. I.e Farmville in Facebook don't start. It is just showing me some Adobe 9 icon. But for youtube starts 2 of 3 tries :D
