Guest xfs Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 YEY FIXED IT, THANKS TO x!!!!! And now release a HowTo and, if any, binaries so we all can fix our Liquids when they are broken ;-)
Guest CedricGatay Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 And now release a HowTo and, if any, binaries so we all can fix our Liquids when they are broken ;-) Glad you managed to get out of this issue. Now we know we can get out of a bricked device, things are getting better for our Liquids!
Guest maxisma Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I got it fixed too :D The Liquid has a special key combo where it is in a passive mode. We got a development tool from our source which allowed us to reflash the SPL sectors in the NAND. You can compare it with the iPhone's DFU-Mode. Unfortunately we are not allowed to release it  Just don't flash Acer .bins you don't know :D

If the application is not to obfuscated it shouldn't take more then 1-2 days to figure out how it works and 1-3 days to write a simple command-tool that would do the same. Or else record the usb-communication and write an application that just transmitts the same communication again (if no complex handshake-process is involved). Where I work we have been forced to do this lots of times with lots of tools to understand them to be able to develop our own versions of them, so know that this isn't that hard. Usually takes a week. Would be an big contribution to the community if an unbrick-tool was released. Maybe even bigger then a 2.1-release of android...
