Guest Uboy Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) You must check out this link, Schaps, author of such famous goodies as Advanced Config, is about to release his Touch Experience. As I understand it will be rom based and as Omnia 2 users we will probably miss out on it. My thought is that if enough of us O2 users send him some goodwill maybe he will allow our chefs to cook it into an O2 rom or maybe release one himself. In any case you should have a look at his new videos as it is mind blowing stuff. :D Edited March 5, 2010 by Uboy
Guest -Ray Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Very very nice I must say... Is it really true that it is ROM based? I certainly hope not!
Guest dgmorland Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 I wonder what the requirements are in terms of graphics drivers for that 3D wizardry
Guest Snow02 Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 If you'll notice the amount of RAM in use, 156 MB, we won't be seeing this useable on the O2. Sorry to burst your bubble. That video is on the HD2 which has over double the user available RAM.
Guest ratsbane Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) this interface is quite nice, however mind that last updates were long time ago - end 2008 - so it looks more like suspended project... @above - I was wrong, it looks like it's still under developement stage, but 4 how long?? I had an email update from Schaps yesterday.....that's why I started this thread. :D I am pretty sure that Schaps is developing it for a range of windows mobiles, not just the HD2, I think that some of the apps might come in cabs but it has been so long coming...what a huge project for one person to take on. :D

That video is on the HD2 which has over double the user available RAM. His UI has been tested working with Diamond and Raphael... The thing that will be a concern is compatibility with 3D rendering. TouchExperience uses OpenGL ES 1.1
Guest xos84292 Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 OPEN GL1.0/1.1... I8000 WITH VERY SLOW... I SEE THE HD2 NEW OPENGL DRIVER, ,opengl 1.1 test have 150-500% fast up.........
