Guest Dr12 Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Every time I send a SMS message, I get the SMS sound and SMS sent displayed message. Does anyone know how to stop this? I mean I know my message was sent because after you push send, the SMS app shows message sent. I just hate the redundant effort from the phone.
Guest Delvius Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Search function -> Read -> Think -> Maybe a new Search -> Read -> Think. You should try that, usually help and keeps many Forums clean. And at least for this Problem you will find help in 3 different ways.
Guest Dr12 Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Okay... I did that first and this is what I found. Hoever, this does NOT seem to work. I even soft-rest the phone after the changes. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\MMS\setting and change the value from 1 to 0 of SMSForegegroundSend - disable sms/mms successful send notification SMSDeliveryReport - disable delivery notification Any ideas?

Guest quizesilver Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Go To: HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > MsgTypes > IPM > SMSText Change: DLL value to htmlnote.dll Then: Soft reset. But since Omnia II WM 6.5 is set to SMSNoSentMsg value 1 by default I just revert it back to MMSNoSentMsg value 0 Go To: HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > Settings Change: SMSNoSentMsg name to MMSNoSentMsg Change: MMSNoSentMsg value to 0 Then: Soft Reset Then again, Go To: HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > Settings Change: MMSNoSentMsg name to SMSNoSentMsg Change: SMSNoSentMsg value to 1 Then: Soft Reset i hope the above is workable for u. at least i had no notification now. cheers

Reading posts aside ... try downloading delvius registration app 1 button to check for sent message they all go away first time. Other useful features in there too.
Guest zm. Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 The SMS sent notification alert by the samsung messaging program can never be disabled because from what I think it's pre-coded in the DLL. anyways, this is like the 4th? thread on this topic. lol.
Guest johnchan Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 If you use the Samsung app (NOT the default Windows one) then you WILL get the "SMS Sent" notification REGARDLESS of any registry tweaks or modifications you get. Note, it IS possible to disable the Samsung SMS/MMS program completely, but then you don't get MMS functions at all. That, in my mind, is not acceptable. However, if you use the Samsung "threaded" SMS mode, you will NOT get the Sent Msg notification. You only get it if you click on an individual message and reply that way. If you just use the "threaded" bubble chat to send, it won't have that notification. This is actually good, i think. Because that means if its just some quick threaded mode reply, I won't get any notice, but if I want to make sure it gets sent, I click the message to reply, get it big, reply individually, and it confirms it was sent.
