Guest frauhottelmann Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/15/windows...nd-impressions/ I don't like it at all... Just looks cheap and takes too long from the home screen to the "hubs".
Guest cicciosprint Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 It basically doesn't look like a PDA anymore... seriously, just what the hell are they thinking? I need a PDA, read that as productivity and smart computing on the go, not a friggin' Zune clone! I don't care if they want to be Apple-like, I want a PDA OS, not a joke for the iPhone herd. Say what you want Ballmer, I don't care about a "dedicated search button" (huh?) and "hubs" (WHAT?), I just want my PDA. How about you finally fix memory leaks instead?
Guest JasonMania Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I actually like it , seems very user friendly , easy and simple to use ,and clean. I would like to get my hands on it , would we be able to get it for Omnia II??.

No idea, but apparently Microsoft is going down heavy on manufacturers: without a 1Ghz processor, capacitive touch and promising not to meddle with the OS (jesus christ, they locked the damn UI!) it's a no-no. Quite frankly, even if it was to be cooked in for the O2, I wouldn't install it.
Guest jebise Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 i hope by the time it is released we can have a cooked version for our omnia. I hate winmo as is right now super slow so buggy and cannot compaire to android. I want either this or android on my omnia.
Guest AndrewTan Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 With this WM 7 release, it is definately end. My next phone will be on Android. WM 7 is a joke! any non-smart phone can get such interface with fancy effect. WM 7 can't be categories as smart phone or business phone as it not suitable on it. No multi tasking, no customization, no flash, no this and that, everything is fixed. What the different than getting a simple normal phone?
Guest tacchan23 Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 if winmo7 will be really like that, I guess moving to Android will be a forced choice
Guest eckyst77 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Contemplate "Microsoft Internet Explorer vs Google Chrome" There you have it. :D
Guest speedfrog Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) .I hate winmo as is right now super slow so buggy and cannot compaire to android. I want either this or android on my omnia. why did you buy a wm phone ?! Edited February 17, 2010 by speedfrog
Guest XeOS Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 It basically doesn't look like a PDA anymore... seriously, just what the hell are they thinking? I agree that it doesn't look like a PDA anymore, but productivity is exactly what you're finally gonna get with Windows Phone 7 by the looks of it. Look further and you'll see that Office functionality is brought to a whole new level with SharePoint and Cloud services in that equation as well. Example: You select a contact, you'll automatically see the last e-mails, sms, twitters etc. You have a meeting in your agenda that'll automatically switch to maps when you want to know where it is and how to get there (aside from setting your presence to 'in a meeting') The only reason I'm tweaking the hell out of my phone is to actually get it to perform and do what I want. This looks like it actually adressed most of my issues and made it a real productivity platform aside from the UI discussion. I couldn't care less about these stupid animated weather s*** UI's that hog my device's resources, I want something that works, and works fast (do love the Samsung Today screen though)
