Sound quality is great but, it still lacks on bass other than that its perfect, nice and loud, and distort less :D

Really? Compared to the old ROM, the new one sounds for you really better? Or is this just a general statement regarding sound of the Liquid (i mean, the sense of the sound is also a matter of personal taste).

This is really important for me, because with the actual sound is would return the Liquid, despite the apart from that great features of the phone...

Version 2.1 was released for a while acer can not prohibit something open source? operating systems do not differ from the rom 1.6? why so many fear this is just the android 2.1 with drivers from 1.6?

great work angio!

do we have to wait that Acer officially releases the update to get your ROM (I read that the update will be released in June... :D ), or we can have it before?

It will take days, weeks or months to have this masterpiece? :D

PS: i read that the camera is better...can you take some photos with that so we can compare with the "old" camera?

What has been added:

-added CarDock.apk

-added GenieWidget.apk

-added amazon.apk

-added googlegoggles.apk

-added superuser whitelist

-added term.apk

-added spareparts.apk

-added googlevoice.apk

-added nexus boot aniimation

-optimized Launcher2

Are we sure we need all those things? Especially amazon, cardock, geniewidget, spareparts, google voice.

Isn't a vanilla rom better?

Aren't they downloadable freely from Market?

I already pay for spotify, don t need amazon !

I think that others have there own mp3.

Really, Amazon, I don t understand why every one include it in his ROM, it s not really usefull.

Other programs, I don t need it, but I can understad that most of people will use it, but Amazon... really... :D :D

But what if I don't want Amazon or Spotify at all because I don't do things for which those apps are needed?

Isn't it cleaner to just install apps from the market, instead of removing preinstalled apps?

Also, I'll add Goggles, urFooz and Spinlets to the "not-needed" list...

Preinstalled apps do not use any app space (as they are in /system ), so I prefer they do come preinstalled. You can always remove them using adb

Can´t wait to upgrade my wife's Liquid (having myself a Milestone) .... I really hate that press menu to unlock of 1.6 (especially as the menu button is positioned differently in comparison to my phone)

Angio thanks for the keyboard screenshots, it's Smart Keyboard isn't it?

Anyway, I saw this video:

It looks slightly different to Angio's one, it has the stock Android dialer (like Nexus one, milestone...) and the Keyboard is different from the one showed by Angio.

app2sd !!!this is very important!!!~

exactly why??

it doesn NOTHING perfomance wise and if you install that many apps you need to start thinking about what apps you really use.

i've installed over 110 apps and wasnt close to reaching the limit on internal storage. needless to say i barely used half of them.

Don't bloat roms with useless features like this please, if anything make it optional

Weird, in both videos of the 2.1 version I've seen, the launcher is totally fluid. I say weird because both the Nexus and the Milestone Launcher were/are NOT fluid.

Well, in the first video the Liquid seems to have the little lag of the Nexus one and the Acer widgets are not as smooth as in the 1.6 Android.

The second video seems smooth unfortunatly we only see the galery...

We'll see, I guess. Seems to me though that Acer have made at least some very needed performance improvements to the Launcher, which is great.

The German-Site teltarif.de has confirmed on a "Acer Liquid e Hands on" report, that Eclair doesn't run very stable on the Liquid.

it will be fixed for sure

They only say that the Liquid e had problems to connect to the internet, they didn't say that the rom is unstable.

Take it easy guys. I'm not surprised it's not stable yet. Why do you think it's not yet been released? :D Ofcourse they will fix all the issues of the ROM (all the big ones anyway)

Sure? They wrote: "Leider lief das neue System noch recht instabil." Look at the dictionary, what "instabil" in English means :D

Polish website claims that everything is smooth and fast :D

But when it comes to Angios ROM I think best will be online kitchen, so everyone can choose stuff to add.
