Low Quality Photoes & Videos on Omnia 2

Dear All,

I have bought Samsung GT-i8000 Omnia 2. While surfing net on it, I found that photo quality is very poor. Also videos on youtube are playing with very poor quality. Is there anything to do with the device for good quality photo and videos?

Which browser are you using? Opera has an option where the opera server automatically compresses all web page images which reduces quality but speeds up browsing performance. Try Internet Explorer if you are using Opera and see if the picture quality is differnt

When i m surfing on net thru mobile on suppose i m on orkut. While i open any photo of friends, it is not clear onscreen. If i download it n then open it, it is very good. But in browser it is showing pixels. Why?

Yes I m using opers. How to disable that option which u r talking about? I dont like Internet Explorer bcoz it does not zoom as opera does. In IE, max zoom is also not properly readable.

Is it Opera 9.5 or Opera 10.x? Opera 10.x gives you the option to enable/disable "Opera Turbo" which is the feature where their proxy servers compress images. I am not sure if Opera Turbo is enabled by default in Opera 9.5 - there is no option to change it that I can see in that version.

If you try IE and the quality of the images is much better using that then I would say it is the opera turbo compression that is making your web page images look low quality.

youtube video quality is fixed in any rom since end of october, so you could flash one of secany's latest ROMs.

Or just download the youtube mobile player from the youtube homepage.

The only solution I know of to really get good quality, full-screen Youtube is to use Coreplayer.
