... I will uploads some other google apps to try too.

Didn't have permissions errors, but no sync.

I tried the APKs from Evil 1.8 and can't push SetupWizard and Gapps force closes.

Try 004 or 008 vending, but leave the gapps, checkin and setupwiz

Personally, I would just test and mix.

You can however, I believe, still use the rom w/o google apps. if you were so inclined. There are ways to get apps on the phone..... just a thought until this can get sorted out.

Can you guys summarize what you've done to make sync work (config, wipes done, apps, etc.)

I haven't had time yet to look into it, but I have 3 days free, starting tomorrow. ;)

Wipe, Flash the first 2.1 update, push the 4 apks from this post before rebooting after flashing.

Thanks vache that worked. Can't sync Contacts and Mail but can access market now.

It's really faster than older ROMs. 80 or 90 MB of free RAM after killing useless apps with Autokiller.

If these work, I can do an update.zip or just re-release the rom.

Tried and...it works!

Synced Gmail and contacts with success. No problem...yet.

Those files were only meant to be pushed via adb.

I will post an update.zip later. And, re-release the rom.

btw, 2.1.9 contains more than just gapps, checkin, setupwiz & vending. (with just those 4 apks, market was working with 2.1.6)

Thank you bro =], btw the new roms works like a charm, i can sync google etc, only thing is in the last part of the setup wizard were you sync your calendar/contacts etc keeps on asking for loging into your google acc.

It is based off of the system image of the new bin. BUT, no new bin. You will still use 0.008.x bin.
