Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 (edited) A little tip for those of you trying to pair your phone with the Mercedes Benz built-in bluetooth integration. Rather than having the car pair with the phone, have the phone pair with the car. To do so, switch the MB Bluetooth to "External Authorization" (In my car, CLS550, go to the bluetooth phones menu and then click on options (next to the scan button). Once you do that, simply have the phone scan for devices and use the other trick of turning on "Discoverable" while it is searching. The phone will find the car and then ask you if you want to pair. I found out that only 0000 works as a password. The car will then ask you if you want to authorize and will pair and connect to the phone at that point. Jim Well isn't this a sight for sore eyes. I don't own a CLS550, BUT I do have a Audi A6 Supercharged, I like style, class, and most of all we have the LED PATENT, LOL. I don't see an option for this in mine. I do see that they do recognize each other but no pair, they sit trying to. My passcode is normally 1234 since that's what the car comes with. After that, its a rejection. I am going to change the pin in the six and see then. The discoverable trick works on almost anything. So, IN CAPS I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT FOR NOW, IT'S JUST CARS WHO CAN'T PAIR. My Rocketfish wrap around work like a charm. The H700 by Motorola is just too. See, why does it have be us Nazi owners... lol.. Edited March 15, 2010 by GodDriven
Guest karnovaran Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 If you don't get facebook sync to work properly I can recommend this app: http://www.androlib.com/android.applicatio...ksync-njDx.aspx (it gives you contact pictures etc. I have a friend using it and it works superb according to him) Thanks for the suggestion. My contacts seem to be linked fine; the issue is that it never stops syncing (with the icon in the notification bar) and it's killing my battery. I have it set to "once a day" and have tried re-installing, re-baking, wiping over and over, etc. I'm wondering if this is a problem everyone has (never stops syncing) or if I'm just the only lucky one.

Guest Paul Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Updated HTC_IME to jonasl's version 16, fixing the initial crash issues at the same time (kitchen only until next release). P
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Are we any closer to BT and Camera? I stated before.. just the last page. Go back and see what was discussed. Stock camera app is going to be added. Plus who knows what more.. I thought you should all also see this.. Hey Guys, I hope everyone is well. I had a quick and simple question. Please forgive me if it's too noob of a question, but if there was gonna be answer for this, I am sure I will find it here. So, as we all know the Verizon version of the N1 is on its way, real soon. After the Sense UI typo on the Verizon site, the most natural question is: For the ones of us that prefer the Sense UI, will we ever (in the near future) be able to get a ROM with Sense UI on the Verizon version of the N1? Maybe this is a question for Paul? The reason why I ask this is because obviously, the porting was simple for the Desire ROM onto the N1, because they are both GSM phones. Question is, can the Desire ROM be cooked onto the CDMA Verizon version, or will we just have to wait until HTC releases a device like that so that we can port that over to the Verizon N1? I think you guys get the picture. Thank you in advance for reading and sharing your expert feedback! You know what your not alone. But, you have to see it this way. Paul has to acquire a VZW N1 to actually work on it. I personally told him, if he can't do it, then I will start the mission, create a thread for those who have helped fund and start the CDMA side of things. If not, I think I would by it for him if I have to. Why, if I want this, but this OS is needed. Then we need to take initiative in doing so. Not just Paul, get it, donations. Oh and I forgot to mention. If it was that easy, I would have been done together with Stericson, TheGeekTern, Birdman, and a few others with porting this to the Droid. Instead we were blessed to get the HTC INCREDIBLE dump, which would now allow this to be out as a BETA IN A FEW HOURS. Meaning, the incredible has the cdmA proposed needs. So, yez, you will get your dream, either from Paul or me and the team. Patience my friend, all in due time.
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Updated HTC_IME to jonasl's version 16, fixing the initial crash issues at the same time (kitchen only until next release). P P, please, to please give us a hint on the next release.. We feel you have a storm brewing over there. Gettin something serious ready for release. Thanks again for adding the stock camera to the next release. Forget about face recognises, what good is it if we can't see, lol.. Missed ya buddy... Oh, and is it true, there is only about 1000 people in your home town. I was just in Manchester, visiting my wifes aunt. I was so itchy to go and find you. Finally shake your hand, coming from the usa you know.. Maybe on my next trip, two weeks from now, I will try and treat you to a nice Jamaican (Wife) and American Dominican (Me) dinner and drinks. Nothing to Do with Android, just praising the needed to be prIzed.
Guest Paul Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 lol, population of the village where I live is 302. Not sure what'll be in the next build yet, just doing bits and pieces hoping for a new drop! Just updated kitchen to resolve some dropbear issues. P PS American Dominican? Going on hols to the Dominican Republic in a few weeks time. <_<
Guest karnovaran Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I had the same issue, i just rebooted while it was syncing and its fine now. Yeah, tried that too. Oh well, thanks everyone for your suggestions. It seems I'm just unlucky.
Guest Jermaine Maine Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I have been searching and searching and CANNOT find the answer to my issue. I want to scratch my eyes out. When I flash the Desire A11 ROM I start up fine and the radio connects but the green status light stays on, even if its not charging and I can use the DATA and phone without an issue. With A12, A13, and A14 I start up my Nexus and it loads the ROM fine but when it tries to connect to the radio it can take up to 5 minutes for the radio to start working (If at all). When I go to the Mobile Network option it is grayed out and I cant select it. It works on MCR and Cyanogen's ROM with no problem. I tried flashing all the different radio's and I still cant figure out the issue. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

I HAVE too. You just don't understand, it would be better than shaking Obama's Hand, which I did, plenty of times, USAF.. This keeps my mind sane.. When I have to wake up for training, for AIT, it even kept me sane when i Went to Irag and all I had was my GSM Hero, Modified Thankfully to YOU.. Actually being modified was the only way it would work.. The alternate APN list gave a lot of leeway.. So thanks forever.. Thanks for being there.. Thanks for being the One everyone chose to Love.. ! Dominican Republic is Gorgeous, I wish you the best.. please visit, The Capitol, The outer skirts of Barahona, Punta Cana & Bavaro, Boca Chica- You will pass out with the CHEEKS that shake here.. Jarabacoa & Constanza.. I placed these here for you since my Family was born In Villa Gonzalez and La Vega, the surrounding areas.. You know what I mean, I'm engaged, so that ended for me. LOL Also, Don't forget the latest fixes Enom added to his rom, Spare Parts etc.. Please bring these over. 180 rotate and the 270.. Plus he added some more details.. The trackball notifications are on target.. Right on.. !!! Thanks.. I know it can be hard modifying this from Optical to Trackball, ehh, same sense, just diff strings.. After this, Camera we know you will add from the Stock Nexus One.. And whatever else you deem needed.
Guest polo79 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 @paul. you mentioned you updated the htc_ime keyboard. also was mentioned that you have now given the option to use the stock N1 camera. first off, i don't see any changes in the kitchen. and second, kind of new to this so how do i just update the ROM? is there a way or do i need to re-flash again?

If you mean your network, Then you need to find the right radio deemed for you.. See not all the updates fix everyone.. If it was like this.. The N1 would have been fine.. But everything is trial and error, even for Google. Now, If possible, Flash A14, then flash the Epe54B radio on top.. Or like me, Just use the Kitchen, he worked so hard on that thing.. Then, Get it going.. Remember, you must reboot after a flash to settle the bits and goodies in.. Then you should see a great outcome.. If the green sync light is on, Sense UI has a s*** LOAD of stuff it keeps updated.. Check the News, stocks, and etc.. to make changes there..

The Stock Camera, was brought up in a Convo between him and I.. This is later, I just work with Alldroid in working this into the Droid.. Which now we have the HTC Incredible Dump.. So thus, it will not be needed.. The IME was done to ensure stop of the FC and some dropbear fixes.. Now, This will lead me to this question.. @Paul....! I see that this is going to be done.. But, Stericson has provided me with the HTC INCREDIBLE DUMP and of course it contains everything from the Desire.. Can we extract the Camera, Bluetooth, and any others needs from this... It doesn't matter GSm or CDMA in this part.. It's just the same ol OS you ask me.. I have not done this cause I am not sure how to COMPLETLY ERASE AND DELETE THE LIB of the camera app now.. So I can't test.. Damn... ! I do, but it still says it will replace a previous version.. DAMN!.. P, any suggestions.. It's all for our benefit.. Do You want the Dump? Maybe it will help much, much more. Edited March 15, 2010 by GodDriven

I had rebooted and flashed the radio, even in the kitchen. I'm going to try it again because thats all I can do. Thanks for your help <_<
Guest polo79 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 sorry if this has been answered. i read the first 20 pages or so and the last few current pages of this thread and didn't find an answer. i am interested in how to update this rom (when an update arrives). will i just do a nandroid backup and then flash the new version? or do i have to wipe the phone as well? and if i have to wipe, what is the easiest way to get all settings back up? meaning more about the way i have my home screen set up. its a pain to have to re-do that every time. thanks again for the help.

When he changed the partitions around.. People nearly passed out with the issues it gave when they didn't wipe. So be sure just to read, You can, then you'll be just fine.. Always just flash on top.. unless told otherwise..

Yes sir.. Thanks to him.. WE HAVE ADDITIONS OF ZIP'S WE CAN ADD VIA THE KITCHEN.. Then we could add/remove what we want as apps in the kitchen as well.
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I uploaded this video I made to clarify the issue. Thanks http://youtube.com/watch?v=znHb-0DiqgM Okay, so here we go.. Now, I can't see why this is happening.. But I need you to do this.. Bake in the kitchen, one Rom with the radio signed into it.. Then add/remove what you want. Then download.. Listen.. Do this.. Step by step.. Wipe/Fact. Reset, Wipe Dalvick Cache.. Okay, Then.. Go to the sd card and flash the rom.. Then when it its time for the radio press the trackball to reboot and write the radio img. Then it will reboot again, and back to recovery we go.. Here press reboot and it will start the device.. Once this is done.. and you've seen it turn on.. Reboot again, anywhere, it doesn't matter, then you should see everything fine.. If not.. I WILL MAKE YOU A PERSONAL ROM AND PUT IT INTO MY DROPBOX FOR YOU.. Do you want that instead..?

I even created another ROM EXACTLY like you said with the RADIO update and all that good stuff. I had previously wiped everything since I'm using Amon_RA's 1.6.2 recovery. I then flashed it, let it reboot for the radio update then let it boot again, then rebooted once more. But I'm still stuck with that issue.
