Guest polo79 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 so to be specific, i saw there was a mod that someone else made for cyanogen that turns on the trackball for waking the device. so i can d/l that into the "upload zip" part on the kitchen and it should apply in the ROM? or will that not work because its only for cyanogen?
Guest muncheese Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 (edited) How does the camera application decide where to put the pictures? It's sometimes put them in \sdcard\DCIM\100media\, and sometimes in \sdcard\DCIM\camera\ folder on my sd card. ? Edited March 15, 2010 by muncheese
Guest markzh Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Hi Paul! Thanks for the great job you have done so far! I have installed Alpha 14 and would like to know, if there is a possibility to set the led notification light to indefinitely. As far as I have noticed it stops after 5 mins. Thanks for your help! Markus

I noticed the A14 Desire rom put pictures in a different folder than Cyanogen or MCR, but each rom was always consistent with where it put the pictures.
Guest Michael Latman Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 I have re installed to the unhacked google maps. It still says unknown road instead of the road name. No matter where I am.is it the desire rom
Guest GD007 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Paul; Can you please help find a post where it provides instruction how to install the new ROM I have generated? Do I need to create EXT3 and EXT4? Thank you Guy
Guest anthdroid Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Hi Paul! Thanks for the great job you have done so far! I have installed Alpha 14 and would like to know, if there is a possibility to set the led notification light to indefinitely. As far as I have noticed it stops after 5 mins. Thanks for your help! Markus I've seen this mentioned a couple of times now - the mixing of terminology between LED and trackball, and just to clarify- the LED is the light at the top that is on when charging. The Trackball is actually the one that Paul has worked hard on to push the notifications to in the Desire Rom for the N1. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, but it seems to be the general way to refer to the lighting on the N1) Which do you mean? Both stay lit longer than 5 minutes for me, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with your ROM, or if I'm missing something. A few pages back in the thread, (you can search by LED at the bottom of the page, left hand corner) Paul posted a fix for me to give me ONLY LED notifications. With this fix, I don't get different colors, but the light works fine, and it stays lit, not just for a 5 minute duration. Trackball similarly will stay lit on Alpha 14 (and give a bunch of cool colors!) This is actually why I ditched trackball notification- I didn't like the light staying on just because I didn't go clear the notification from the latest email/call/sms. You can download "Trackball Alert" from the Market, and that may help you fix any issues you're having since it further customizes the trackball notifications- ALTHOUGH I believe the notification lighting should be working longer than 5 minutes regardless of the method you use. Hope this makes sense, and helps.

I noticed the A14 Desire rom put pictures in a different folder than Cyanogen or MCR, but each rom was always consistent with where it put the pictures. Yup, I took about five pictures and one video minutes apart when I first launched the camera app for the first time. One picture ended up in the stock rom picture directory, the others in the different folder. Off and on, I've noticed they occasionally go to either folder. It actually apears as if they reside inside 100MEDIA when taken, and then get transferred over to the camera folder. Some pictures I just took an hour ago are inside of 100MEDIA and labeld IMAG0011.jpg IMAG0012.jpg, etc. (When that happens, I have no idea). The ones in the camera folder are labeled with the standards date format. Edited March 15, 2010 by muncheese
Guest unjust Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Hey any way we can get updates of new versions? I mean like just PM all the subscribers to this thread or an RSS somewhere, so we can come on and get the new versions. I'm loving this rom. First time I am having a GOOD sense experience. On the G1 and the Hero, it just wasn't nearly as enjoyable as it is on the N1. Love it!

And notice.. we had a N1 that never shut off the Green LED light.. Told it was a Possible message from GOD.. @ Paul.. Almost Done.. Be right Back..
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Thats EXACTLY what I did. I removed all the stuff such as stocks, news, blah blah. I even created another ROM EXACTLY like you said with the RADIO update and all that good stuff. I had previously wiped everything since I'm using Amon_RA's 1.6.2 recovery. I then flashed it, let it reboot for the radio update then let it boot again, then rebooted once more. But I'm still stuck with that issue. @ Jermaine.. Dude.. I am making something specifically for you.. This should work.. Just put this in your NANDROID folder and restore.. From there.. all you have to do is sign in and your off. It's baked from the kitchen but this one I used myself.. i just wiped and made a back-up.. Then from there, you restore and move on.. Let me know.. PM me though.. I will PM you in a few with a DROPBOX of the ROM.. Remember, RESTORE, not flash through NANDROID..
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 @@@@@@@@ PAUL!!!! PM! Sent... You are going to s*** yourself..
Guest GodDriven Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Quick Question.. Does anyone know how to re-sign a Rom..

But in fact I would be much more interested to use the led notification instead of the trackball light. I have looked for the fix that Paul posted for you but I could'nt find it. Could you please give me an instruction how to change the notification from the trackball to the led. Thank you very much. Markus

No matter where I am.is it the desire rom That doesn't seem right. Uninstall the hacked map. Go to Market. Reinstall. Did you follow this exact process?

Markus # Hi anthdroid! I found Paul's post on page 122, copied the file to the sd card and wanted to move it to system framework. I have tried it with astro file manager but can copy it only within the sd card and not to the sytem framework. Any suggestion how to move it to the destination file? Thanks.

I have been on A14 for the past week. About an hour ago, I looked in my Gallery and sure enough there is now a /100MEDIA folder. I swear to you it was not there yesterday!!!!

Guest OMEGA46 Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Any idea when Beta will hit? Also, I have asked several times without answer, how can the transparent notification dock be added. You said it would be apart of the online kitchen so i purchased the Plus and still nothing...
