Guest parrmani Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 On Alpha 15/14 when I download a root app, it won't access my SU permissions anymore it just shows me a blank screen and it runs for a few minuets then force closes. Anyone know how to fix this problem? I'm trying to run the set cpu app. :)!!

Guest LilRedzMD Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Ok, I flashed from A14 to A15, and I havent really seen any new improvemts at all, I dont see anything called Sense UI Live Wallpaper, (help directing me to it please) besides that, everything is the same. Also can some tell me what the advantage of having Cynogen on the Nexus One. I am new to this and was only intrested in the DESIRE ROM. But wanna know if anyone can direct me to letting me know what exactly Cynogen is cuz I cant find no info on it. Paul Also, We all know that the DESIRE is going to be released very soon, will the DESIRE ROM be available before it comes out and will you be making a build for it also before the release of the DESIRE in the UK?

Then when it say all, click, always allow, then if it doesn't start, restart.. You should see it start.. Follow the debugging procedure.. Make sure you've enabled debugging in the programs setting options. ^^^^^^ <<<< Everyone pay attention to those words.. It will help you in many things, Especially SU requested items.. You will find "HTC Sense" as one of the wallpaper to select. Similar to the location where you find Nexus One touch sensitive wallpaper. Edited March 17, 2010 by cnraghu

I used the kitchen last night and the Titanium app is the exact same as the "Free" version. What type of "enhancement" am I not seeing?

I haven't had a chance to go there at all yesterday No idea, but I noticed the issue resolved itself upon updating to A15. Something in the desire settings must have cleared up the issue swype is having. I baked several different custom ROMs with varying results, but the only way I ever got Facebook to sync correctly was by using Desire contacts, Desire messaging and including Friendstream (even though I don't use it). With Android contacts and/or Android messaging, Facebook wouldn't sync properly and even some of my Google contacts were missing. I'd recommend including Friendstream in your next bake if you don't have it... if you do have it, then ditching Android contacts is probably the next move. Well known fact the android facebook app sucks. Do you have android app permissions set at facebook?(The actual website on the desktop)? The reason the friendster facebook works is because htc is using their own facebookapp and not the default facebook app on the desire rom (yes, there's two facebook apps on this rom).

You signed up for Ad Free, the Full version of Titanium is for MoDaCo Plus members. Ad Free gets you ad freeness and the kitchen. :) P
Guest jwhipple Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Simply put, I LOVE the look and feel of this ROM, but I have one question: Is there any way to enable PUSH mail for Exchange and/or GMAIL ? If not I am afraid I will have to look elsewhere. The biggest thing I love about this ROM is the Friendstream - if there was a way to install it (not to be used as a widget, but as a regular stand-alone app) on a non-Desire ROM, I'd go that route just to have both Friendstream and push mail. Thanks!

The hacked HTC-IME has a ton of modification options that allow you to change its characteristics but none of it happens automatically because everyone's preferences are different. I don't even use this keyboard, but I've tinkered with it to see what it does (since I'm y'know...like testing an Alpha product) and it definitely does have the options to change the position of auto-correct to below the text entry field. @phonepersona thank you buddy! i didnt realize there were that many options on the modified htc ime. awesome stuff

Maybe I'm just confused, but to me that doesn't sound like push mail - sounds more like scheduled checks. By the way, thanks so much for all your work on this. This is an absolutely beautiful ROM.

P I'm thinking you're right on the Gmail now. I just emailed my Gmail from my Exchange account a few times and it popped up immediately. I'll test further with Gmail to Exchange tonight if work is slow. Worst comes to worst, I'll buy "Touchdown" email to use for work! Thanks again - if only everyone replied as quickly as you :-)

P yes. exchange has the option for push, or timed intervals. Both for peak & non-peak hours. it works perfect and is a godsend.

I just found the option for push - you have to scroll up in the scheduled intervals otherwise you won't see it - thanks again everyone!
