For those wanting/needing Bluetooth, try using a different kernel than the one being used in this alpha release. For example, I am using an overclocked/undervoltage kernel and bluetooth is 10x better with it. Still not perfect but a workable solution for the time being.

Yes.. Yes.. This is sooooo...... True.. I agree with this soo much.. as so does P.. He did in the past until he started using the TCK kernal.

It helps with the BT and EVEN the CAMERA FLASH..

Sometimes the Camera Flash is more on time than others. It's all a Kernal thing..

I have problems with the music application. Phone stops playing after ca. 2 songs. Did reboot, but it didn't help.

It's been mentioned before, but the HTC IME keyboard seems buggy. The suggested solution was to switch from Touch Input to the standard Android keyboard and back, but that's not fixing the problem for me. Any suggestions?

No worries, GodDriven.

I did cover the flash sensor, and still the same issue. When I disable the flash, obviously, it won't flash ;-) Pictures look great but not in darkness. I'm not in any rush to resolve this now, I just wanted to point out that I don't think that it's completely fixed just yet. Paul says that there is hope in the RC, (which hopefully will come sometime soon, maybe this weekend? We can only hope ;-)

Yes.. This is great.. i wanted to be sure that someone on the other side could see the same exact same thing as me..

Jlevy73 did note as I conjoined, that the Overclocked and Undervolted Kernal works a lil better.. Why Most of us can't figure out.. It helps the BT 10X more and the camera flash increases in stabilty by 45%.. Not bad huh, just for chANGING THE KERNAL. LOL.

This is the Original Cut that Paul Made in the past when it all started..

Take this, place in the root of your sd card.. Flash like a rom..

Then you will have a full functioning IME.. JONAS is better though..!

I have advised about what happens with the flashed keyboard..

Please let the forum know how this turned out..

That was a suggesting for fixing the bug with the SWYPE beta keyboard.

(A bug which rears it's head randomly after boots, it came back for me yesterday)

Okay.. P hasn't implemented 180-270 rotate into this..

I personally have begged him for it.. Tried it and succeeded only in certain sections..

Umm.. Staying in the lockscreen, like when you press the power button, then slide the slider>?

Then, just stay there longer.. LOl. No really, the wallpaper is a standstill when your not on the move..

It was not just made as a "Wallpaper" it is more a sticky. Of where you are and whats around.. It's a way for you to se without having to 'go into' the app.

I got an email from the G-Maps team and they are going to add, to the wallpaper settings.. The ability to see better traffic, pinch and zoom, and allow POI on the screen. This may take some time.. So don't get antsy.. But it will happen.

Regarding Google Maps 4.1 and Alpha 16-

In alpha 15 I was trying to get the latest maps and it kept halting at the install due to "unsigned error".

Paul's Alpha 16 came with Maps 4.1 already, so I baked myself a Rom.

Kept Force closing, didn't have a cache to clear (because it had never opened I'm guessing!). The live wallpaper was working, however.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled from Market in Alpha 16. All is working without a hitch right now.

Just Wanted to throw that out there for those with Maps 4.1 and Alpha 15/16 issues...

Hmmm... Ahhhh.... lol.... thanks phone, I saw what was meant.. I didn't notice. I see it does show it. The sun rays, its day here, and last it rained.. I installed last night and it worked with the wipe and rain. I guess refresh the wallpaper ie change and come back.

Just a quick note: when you use footprints, when you take a picture the image is 90° rotated. but when you shoot, image is in the right position. I know I am not using a good english, but I think you got it!!!!

Footprints image rotation is odd, it's doing that on the new build too! :)

I just tested the camera from the Alpha 16, and the flash still doesnt work correctly. ;)

The Date Stamp works fine tho :)

PS: I did wipe everything and then installed the Alpha 16 Rom.

Small Review on Paul MDC Desire ROM

Below review is base on Alpha 15, I am still downloading Alpha 16, hehe.

Pros

• HTC Sense is rock solic, all widget done by HTC is eye candy, the bundle analogue clock will show in white color in morning and black color at night time, awesome
  
• Main Screen changes is easy and fun by just pinch to choose, total 7 screens available.
  
• Overalll quite stable and smooth.
  
• Weather effect is fun and show everytime you unlock the device.
  
• Friend Stream is great by integrating Facebook & Twitter together.
  
• Able to search contact by just typing at dialpad.
  
• Wired Tether and Wireless Tether is working.
  
• Touch to focus in Camera is cool.
  
• HTC Touch input is awesome.
  
  • Lock screen can simply unlock by touching the second button (right menu button).
    
  • Menu slightly lagging when using live wallpaper.
    
  • Wallpaper selection between normal and live is link wrongly where selection became normal wallpaper when you choose live wallpaper and v/s.
    
  • Some graphics gritch alignment issue.
    
  • Camera flash not flashing correctly.
    
  • Bluetooth not yet working properly.
    
  • Transition effect done by HTC Desire seems lessor than Nexus One.
    
  • USB debugging need to be on when selection apps is using SU, or else the SU will blank and FC, no issue on CM ROM.
    
  • Not sure whether A2SD is working or not as no selection to choose on or off like CM 5.0.5-test2 ROM.

does anyone else have an issue with the phone not vibrating for incoming calls? my vibration function works for all other notifications and for haptic feedback on the keyboard. i remember this issue lingering since the early stages of this rom. performed a full wipe before each install for a5-a15. anyone discover a fix for this? is it a recurring issue for anyone else?

Paul,

Adding your own zip file doesn't work.

I tried to bake one into the ROM but it hasn't appeared twice in a row.

Also have you managed to fix the Apps2sd issue I posted earlier?

I haven't seen a response so I'm not sure if it has been fixed or even investigated as yet.
