Geez...

People really are impatient nowadays...

As said many times...these will be fixed when they are able to be fixed. If the issues are "matter of life" then use a different rom until this has all the flaws fixed, but just be patient.

Thank you for speaking my mind. I could not have said it better.

i'm not siding with anyone here, but didn't paul just get back from a vacation?

On a development note, I don't have the SMS issue as you guys speak of... I send a 'bigger than 160' character message and it tells me it can't send... but that message goes away after a couple seconds, which make me think it sent it. and it did, because i got a response from my recipient...

If a "vacation" means having company over during this past weekend . . . I guess ;-) Even if he did take a real vacation . . . we have had Alpha 14, Alpha 15, Alpha 16 and Alpha 17 all within a span of about a week and a half.

Thanks a million for answering my question. I had an iPhone 3GS before switching to T-mobile. I do agree with you and the speed of T-mobile as oppose to AT&T. And now with HSDPA my web browser is lightning fast!!

I appreciate your help FlyNikola

No prob I love to help...oh yea & 1 more thing HSDPA is technically considered 3.5G so enjoy it :). On a more thread related note I have passed on flashing a17 until Paul the man drops a more stable release unlike a lot of ppl in this thread I like to be patient & see what problems persist then make my decision ill be rocking out a16 for now (who cares about footprints) lol. I'm glad to hear that Get more widgets is available now even if it isn't working at the moment

Mine does the same, but the message does not send. Tried a whole bunch of tests with two phones side by side. Anything >160 gives you the error message, which disappears and the phone reports the message as sent, but I can 100% guarantee it does not actually make it to the airwaves (at least not on my phone).

I can also confirm, i have tested with a very similar method to that described above and my device will also not send any msg over 160chars.

I have done a complete wipe and flash 3 times now. I also repartitioned my microsd just to make sure i am not leaving anything hanging over.

Wondering if anyone else noticed that by default this ROM appears to not go above 768mhz. You can get around this by using SetCPU and custom profiles.

I'm wondering if perhaps some of the powersaving stuff in this ROM might be off?

Mine, the same. Not send more than 160 chars. Also, when i use any app with need SU access, SU Permission show blank screen without posibility of click in Allow.

I think Alpha 16 was more stable, but camera led don't work.

It should allow us to go up to 1 ghz, correct? If not, what Mgz? Final question: where would I set the "SetCPU and custom profiles"?

here is setcpu -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419

You can use that, or an app like 'quick system info' to see what mhz your processor is running at. By default it appears that this rom stops at 768mhz, which makes sense since that is the HTC Desire spec.

If I were to use the SetCPU app, and "overclock" it, I would ONLY want to overclock it to the Nexus One specs. Would that be changing it from 768 mhz to 1000 mhz? In other words, I only want to take advantage of what the Nexus One was designed for, as it appears that at present, it's running below it's designed clock speed. I definitely do NOT want to overclock it beyond what the Nexus One processor was designed for. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.. If you were to use SET CPU you would only get the stock DESIRE/NEXUS speeds which max out at 998MHz-1GHZ

This is more used for power control.. Meaning managing CPU levels in standby and use.. Look into profiles and you will see what I mean.

Guys, I don't think English is his first language. There are many other countries besides England and the US. Give the guy a break, he used the word "please" and I don't think it was meant to be as demanding as it sounded.

So here's something a bit fun... remember how on the earlier Alphas you could multitouch zoom out and click and drag to rearrange screens? Well, for some reason HTC took this out of the final release. I just put it back. We have something REAL Desire owners don't have. :)

Coming up in Alpha 18! ;)

Hah, that's awesome Paul. Your work is incredible. XD

Do you think in the next ROM you could put in the t-mobile US apn's by default and check out that MMS issue that people have been talking about? Those are the only two things holding me back from using your ROM as my main ROM and I'm dying to use it full time.

Now, That's really nice..! I was doing this yesterday..

I tried to show a friend and looked like a dumb a** when I was like moving, sliding, and nothing..

I was like it does, trust me it does, lol.. They we're like sure.. If i could re-arrange screens that easy I'll but a Nexus myself..

P, it's amazing how the world goes round. Bring it on.. Let me show these "fools" that without a Nexus and without modaco, your life in android is like a prenuptial marriage agreement. LOL.. ;)
