Guest jlevy73 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Not too scientific here either, but I uninstalled a 5 MB app and gained back only 1 MB of internal storage, which is the way it's always been with the apps2sd script used by this ROM, so yes, it's working. Which Ext are you using?
Guest grainysand Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Ext3, I'm pretty certain. (Haven't looked at it in recovery for a while.)

Guest ebrand Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 [DOWNLOAD OFFLINE, FIXING INSTALL ISSUE] camera not working either
Guest jlevy73 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 camera not working either Wipe dalvik cache, camera will be fine.
Guest thelucster Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I don't know whether anyone else is experiencing this, but since upgrading to A17 (after a full wipe), my battery life has become MUCH worse. Now I am lucky to get 9 hours of battery life, with hardly any usage (a few messages and a little browsing). In A13 I would easily get double this! Spare Parts shows that Calendar is causing this, and in the Applications menu this is listed as ObexService. What exactly is this?
Guest tsangwailam Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Anyone have issue on the Camera app for A18+? I can't launch Camera app after update to A18 and A19. The Video Recorder is fine, but it will crash with unexpected error when switch to photo mode.
Guest aftermath974 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Just try them in a dark ... should work...light dependent ...save energy .. Goooood luck! No work for me, same problem
Guest felixone Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 the manual research of the carrier is not working (on alfa 17). Don't know if anyone ever reported this but I got the same bug since alfa9 (since I'm living near the border it's crucial having my own carrier selected otherwise I'm charged for roaming) Another issue: is it possible to have the voice recognition in the sense keyboard for sms/mail/... (It was there in previous alfa version)
Guest BrumBrum74 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Hello Paul. Even though I bake the roms without Facebook app there is still running a service called Facebook for HTC Sense when I check with Advanced Task Manager. Not a big thing, but it takes some memory from my N1. Did not restore any backups and clean wipe everything before installing ny rom. Seen this on A16, A17 and A18. Not tested A19 yet.

HTC have their own Facebook app, not the same as stock. Should be located in /system/app and named HTCFacebook.apk or something like that (I think it's two packages but I haven't been digging around in a sense theme for a while). You should be able to remove these apps by simply running this from adb: adb remount adb rm /system/app/HTCFacebook.apk (or whatever the package is removed) adb rm /system/app/OtherHTCFacebookThing.apk adb shell reboot
Guest majormerlo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Pual is it possible in future it will come implemented the function of recording HD to 720p in your Rom? many thanks
Guest metatron Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Problem in handling invalid SSL certificates still exists.
Guest balashov Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 just signed in) sent you few quids, mate. your work is just great :)
Guest argylesocks Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I asked this last week, but didn't get any response. Search came up empty. Once you add a Swap partition, how do you actually enable this? Is it automatic like A2SD? Can you disable it, if desired? much thanks for any clarification on this.
Guest Paul Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Does it annoy you how the camera app prompts you to press the 'optical trackball' instead of the 'trackball'? No? Oh, just me then... It's a minor OCD... :) If it WERE to bother you, you could push this APK to /system/app/HTCCamera.apk (after adb remounting of course)... http://content.modaco.net/dropzone/HTCCame...rackballpatched ;) P

Every day, (throughout the day), I keep hitting the REFRESH button on my laptop to see what's new, and then when I'm away from my laptop, I'm constantly checking on Nexus Desire ;-) I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Guest ranschia Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I'm having similar issue here, any advice? Guest jdoo Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 I think OBEX is the MS Exchange support no? Or is it all calendar support? Do you have a 3rd party calendar software or widget set to update your calendar "on event insertion" or at a high frequency?
Guest polo79 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 @paul. i was browsing xda about the "trackball wake" option that is currently in cyanogen. there are a few people on that thread that would like to see this in your desire rom. i for one, would even pay for that option as i hate having to hit the power button every time and the market doesn't give us a real replacement. anyway, just wanted to let you know that "meathead" the creator of the mod is open to working on this for desire. if there is anything us normal folks can do to help please let us know. Thanks.
Guest mkslt4 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 is there anyway to install the passion's stock web browser onto the desire? i really dont like the desires web browser because the multi-touch just doesnt feel right
Guest Motyla Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) Don't know if it has been mentionned earlier, but sometimes I do have a bug with the earphones plugging: it's not recognised. The only way I have found to make the phone see that I have plugged my earphones is to reboot, or, sometimes, like 70% of the time, killing all my apps makes it work. I don't think my earphones are causing that bug because on Cyanogen I never had such kind of problems. I use the Sense music app and have not installed any other yet. Anyway thanks for all that amazing work. I just love this ROM. Edited March 24, 2010 by Motyla
Guest McBaul Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) Nicely done, bro!!! Thanks!!! By the way, would you please import the Gallary3D.apk from the stock ROM in which way you can remove the "picture frame" widget. Too i'm looking forward for the bluetooth fixing being done~~~~ Good Luck Buddy!! :) Gallery3D.apk.zip PS:remove the ".zip" of the attached file name. Edited March 24, 2010 by McBaul
