Guest Raspster Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) FYI, anyone having problem swith the desire ROM on using an at&t nexus 1 will need to configure your APN properly. I know it seems to set everything up as data & MMS will go thru but some web pages will not display properly and some flash content will not load if the apn is not set up 100%. Tried it on wifi and worked fine. Then re-configured apn and bingo! All is good. I knew it was not this amazing ROM's fault! Now if I can just figure out how to increase the MMS size limit from 300kb to atleast 600kb so my pictures I send dont look crappy to the receiver. Edited March 27, 2010 by Raspster
Guest mi_canuck Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Desire ROM peeps... did you guys update the radio beyond the ERE27 one? I've heard mixed results from the later radio hacks... :P
Guest GodDriven Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 GD, can you elaborate a little bit on the sentence, "The Kitchen App is coming soon". What kind of "app" are you referring to? One we put on our devices, or on our desktop computer? What will it offer that we don't have available here in the forum? -Skydart Skydart what's up... Buddy... It is going to lead to the devices. An app on the device that will allow the same uses that the forum does.. be aware that Paul is the one working on this, not I... I just wish I. Had the skillzto skill it like that. It will be nice, it was a question and quickanswer type of thing. So all I can say, yeah, droid, nexus, nd all others that use the MCR logo will be available for the app.

Guest mudrock1000 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Anyone else have the problem where MMS does not work when Wifi is on? It didn't used to be like that on other alphas...
Guest cortez Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Desire ROM peeps... did you guys update the radio beyond the ERE27 one? I've heard mixed results from the later radio hacks... :Psame here; my best results are with the ERE27 radio.
Guest mi_canuck Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 FYI - I'm sure this is known, but I can't seem to get the Wired Tether working on my Macbook (OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard)... but the WiFi Tether works beautifully!!!!! Certinaly MUCH better than the bluetooth tether from PDANet - which was so unstable... connection kept getting dropped... this WiFi Tethering is SUPER cool!!! thanks again Paul!!! :P
Guest Raspster Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) I am on tmobile. I do not see a section for MMS settings MMS proxy..? I did not need to mess with the MMS setting under the APN. Some giberist was in some fields that needed to be blank. Also the port was 8080 and it should have been jusy 80. Not sure if that helped it or not. Also there are some MMS setting under setting when you are in the messaging app. Edited March 27, 2010 by Raspster
Guest mi_canuck Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 oh - a newb question here... but if I recooked myself a ROM in the Kitchen, can I just reinstall over top of my existing MoDaCo Desire ROM ??? There's a feature or two that I'd like to disable, while adding 1-2 that I missed... thnx!!!
Guest polo79 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 DUDE WHO ARE YOU! I AM A GROWN A** MAN! AGAIN THERE IS NO MENTION IN THIS THREAD ABOUT CONTACT SUDDENLY DISAPPEARING, THERE IS NO MENTION IN THIS THREAD ON WHEN GOING TO TEXT MESSAGE APP WHEN YOU START TYPING THE PARTIES NAME, NO PHONE NUMBER SHOWS PRESENT! NOT ANYWHERE ON THIS THREAD BESIDES ME MENTIONING HAS IT BEEN MENTIONED. AND FOR LAST I AM NOT A LITTLE CHILD, IM GROWN, DONT EVER ASK ME TO BEHAVE, AND KEEP YOUR 2 CENTS TO YOURSELF. JESUS CHRIST, SINCE WHEN USERS PUT THERE INPUT ON SOMETHING THEY ARE NOT INVOLVED IN! you might want to check to see if one of your contacts got "linked" to another different contact. i noticed that on one or two contacts that they got "deleted' but when i dialed the number i found out it wasnt deleted but just linked.
Guest LilRedzMD Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 So all your contact woe's just went away? Did you use the kitchen to bake in the HTC stock contacts app? Yes everything works great! I just got rid of the Contacts and Messaging and used Nexus One Stock ROM's version of both.
Guest IraJames Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Anyone have any problems with the web browser? For some reason, my very first flash to A17, I was able to view just about every site properly. Now, some sites look real bad, everything overlaping and ALOT less flash content. I have wiped and flashed again and again. Example... The HTC home page is not rendering in flash and it was last week for me. hmmmm I'm having this very same problem, and only when EDGE is on I get the little blue question marks, but when I turn on Wi-Fi for internet the flash loads in the page?

Guest Brian L Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 (edited) I'm new to this forum and not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes. I am on T-Mobile USA. I love the desire ROM and it worked great on my nexus one. The only problem im having is that the internet won't work, nor will the 3g work? Anyone experience this problem or have any idea on how to fix it? Also, It seemed to me that the alpha 19 was pretty stable except for my internet issue... great job on that rom! ALSO IF A19 WAS RELEASED AS A RC, I AM QUITE SURE PAUL WOULDNT HAVE NAMED THIS VERSION A19, BUT NAME IT RC OR BETA! HE OBVIOUSLY HAS NOT DONE THIS YET BECAUSE HE DOES NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE PUTTING A TITLE ON IT AS RELEASE CANDIDATE OR BETA. Hey man, your CapsLock is on.
Guest Miked270 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Anyone have problems with the GPS? I can enable it but it doesn't seem to work with any application or widget. Overall I'm shocked how good everything works! I could never go back to the default Nexus One again so thank you!

(not really, read the thread, its a known issue)

Guest mi_canuck Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 is there a loudness mod (for the earpiece primarily, but also external speaker secondarily) that works with this MoDaCo Desire ROM? cheers
Guest mi_canuck Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 This worked perfectly! Thank you very much sir :P PS - there's an APN backup app in the market... I had installed it before wipin then rooting and install the Desire ROM... glad I did, since when I was done installing the Desire ROM, all APN info (I use T-Mo) was missing... All I had to do was restore a backup from this APN Backup app... and bingo... saved my ass... I also have an App Backup app (from CurveFish)... very helpful too...
Guest kiay Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 http://nexusonehacks.net/nexus-one-hacks/h...your-nexus-one/ ...there it is ...but its about the cynagen rom don't mind that just go to the part that says download setcpu then continue with the steps after that. i tried that just now, but the overall speed is still saying 883MHz instead of 1113MHz, the 1113MHz only appears when i increase both my Min and Max to 1113600, any idea?

That's exactly what you have to do. Increase both min and max to the maximum and then it will be 1113 ghz
