Guest escagelion Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 its great but i hate having things i cant use so i am trying to bake without radio FM , wave secure (dont like) and stock icone thx for the link but i tried it already without baking so i know a bit one thing i dont understand at all is SD thing to install program on it by the way when i plug USB nothing is going on, i cant mount or anything...i have to use the icon usb mount is that normal? yes. Use the app usb mount. for your question : "can i change / update without losing every data/configuration/application?" yes, before flashing a new rom, use titanium backup and it will restore all your apps and data. The thing you're looking for is the A2SD and how it works ?

Guest dipeshb Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 yes, you can. I have the cyanogenmod boot screen on my alpha 18. :P cyanogenmod is the stock nexus one but cyan. First you will need Android SDK which has ADB tool in order to push the bootanimation.zip file. download your boot animation file (probably called bootanimation.zip) and save it to the tools folder in the android sdk home folder then open command prompt and "cd" to the tools folder from the android sdk. then plug your phone to your computer and type the following: adb remount adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip Reboot your phone and you will have a new boot animation. and please do backup your phone before you do this in case something goes wrong. also it takes longer to boot up the first time so be patient and let it do it its thing. mine took about 4-5 mins so dont rush it. GL I've always pushed the file to /system/media/bootanimation.zip. i.e. adb remount adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip Do these BOTH work?

Guest Paul Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Alpha r20 is now online! From the next release onwards I will be syncing my MCR Desire and MCR Desire Port releases, so you'll get virtually the same ROM whether you're on a real Desire or a Nexus One port. The leaks are coming thick and fast at the moment...! The main object of this release is fixing the long SMS bug. Guest lolek74 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) Thanks Paul for the great ROM. I was wondering if there is a way of removing stock battery indicator from the top bar? Edited March 31, 2010 by lolek74
Guest Paul Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 A point to note - the /system partition is VERY full with a base build. If you get issues when you apply the update.zip, it might have got too big. :P P
