when i flash this rom a21 i get the following error

E:failure at line 302:

write raw image package:boot

installation aborted

i tried wiped repartitioning sd card but still same error the strange part is it boots up and works fine but somethings got to be wrong if im getting errors thank you

Just a couple of quick questions:

I assume you did a complete wipe including dalvik-cache...?

Did you try to download the rom again and chk the md5 sum to make sure the copy is not corrupt?

You can "consider" your subscription fee to be whatever you want but that doesn't change what it really is! A FEE! What amazes me is that even Paul doesn't consider it a "donation"! He calls it what it is- a paid subscription, but you sheep keep insisting its a donation.

since I paid for my subscription I dont think its too much to ask for an answer-even if the answer is"I dont know"- after 6 weeks of asking (on multiple forums)! To be blown off for that long is wrong even if I had not paid a "donation"! So please dont tell me to be patient, I think I have been extremely patient!

You DO realize that you're part of the Ad-Free group, right? And that the only thing you "subscribed" to was the ability to view MoDaCo without ads and the few additions such as the online kitchen use.

No where on that sign up screen does it state that Paul updates things every hour/day/week/month or ever really. Before you guys started complaining, he was updating this rom almost every day. There is simply NO new additions he can make without HTC releasing the kernel for the Desire, period, end of story, stop complaining. You state that it has been six weeks, when it has barley entered the 5th week. And even still Paul has posted in THIS THREAD since then, stating exactly what he feels/knows. He has nothing more to add to the ROM at the moment. Do you want him to just change the thread title to "09/May Alpha r22"? Get over it. Not to mention I don't know if you even noticed the world ALPHA in the thread title. That alone should be a flag that it shouldn't be used for every-day usage. It isn't a fully polished ROM.

Now then, to the rest of the people that are patient enough to wait. Thanks for keeping this thread as it should be. Simply report issues as you find them, then hush and wait for them to get fixed.

Paul, keep up the good work and we're excited for when HTC gets off their butts and releases the kernel. Does anyone know if that 60 day limitation for open source is true?

For all the people saying you paid for updates, NO YOU DID NOT.

You paid for:

1. The ability to run Sense UI on your Nexus One. NO ONE did this before Paul did.
   
   
   
2. Access to the kitchen for building custom ROMs.
   
   
   
3. An ad-free site, which by the name "Modaco Ad Free Member" was the ONLY thing that was clearly promised to you.
   
   You did NOT pay for future updates!
   

HOWEVER

I will say two things:

1. People are getting tons and tons and tons of corrupted downloads from his servers. I couldn't imagine how horrible it would be if someone out there tried to flash a corrupted radio and got a brick because of it. To not say anything about them is pretty ridiculous. He should at least tell people why the servers are giving out bad files and take them down while they're corrupted.
   
   I even had to upload the file to my own mirror because so many people are having problems with Paul's corrupted files. For anyone getting the "(bad)" error messages during flashing, try my mirror.

2. Paul REALLY needs some better moderation on here. It's ridiculous. Half the people in the past few pages NEED to be banned. The fact that people like Aaron Ratner are still around is clear evidence that Paul doesn't even READ these forums, let alone respond.

IM With you Im sick of people running to pauls Aid every time someone stats how they feel, Paul is a grown man and can answer his on Q: with out some flunky rushin with a answer of lay off paul truth is we all need a update he's not answering Q: BUT A FEW UPDATES on how things are going as far as progress on the Rom would help clam some people down. I love the suggestion to ban people who have an opinion on a FORUM. Just because you disagree with my assessment, even if I happen to be wrong, doesn't warrant being banned. Whatever happened to open, honest discussion. If I said I love what's going on, I'm a hero. The moment I disagree with the anyone, everyone is so quick to want to ban me. For what? Because I spoke what I felt is the truth? Honestly, I'm so sick of being shut out of forums because I simply disagree. Get serious. It's not about right or wrong, it's about opinion. I welcome disagreement. The world would be a terrible place if everyone agreed on everything. There's nothing wrong with a little honest discussion.

For the record, nobody should expect any updates. That's a ridiculous thing to expect. I never once suggested that anyone should expect that or the Modaco should provide that. All I said was that AdFree members pay for more than just the removal of ads as per Modaco's own sign up form. So you can flame me all you want but that won't change the facts. Neither will banning me which is such a ridiculous suggestion. Is that how people who disagree should be dealt with? And I'm just a lurker here. I'm not even waiting impatiently for any updates. My Nexus is running smooth as butter with Cyan and my own theme and MODs. I personally have zero issues. I was just pointing out the obvious for all those who I know, via personal experience, are afraid to say something for fear of exactly what is happening to me. Thanks for proving them right everyone.

Seems your not the only one with this issue. The answer I keep getting is that the file is corrupt. Might be an issue with the kitchen (again). Guess you'll have to wait for an update (oops did I say the forbidden word! ) before your issue gets resolved. Hope this help a little. Just be glad your copy still works.

If I hear anything more ill be sure to let you know.

First off, Thank you Paul for your hard work. Second, I've been reading over at the Desire part of the woods and am noticing a theme with how locked down like Fort Knox the desire is.....

Now for my odd but possibly important question......

I have noticed sense UI on the Incredible rom from the information that I've seen in reviews, would it be any easier to try to use part of that rom (if we're able to dump it) and modify it to work with what we already have from the leaked Desire rom? If I had any technical skills in this area I would be more than happy to help seeing I have an XO laptop sitting around, but alas I am not as knowledgeable in the ways of linux and android.....

Hi all, I am Having trouble with the desire rim. Everytime i am on a phone call and then call waiting beeps in it sounds very odd and loud. Kind of like a high piched static. I have tried different things to fix it but nothing i do helps. If anyone knows how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx in advance for any help with this matter.

I beleive there will be no more Alpha update but a ''final'' beta one once the kernel is released, Paul apparently preffer to update ''updatable'' phones like Desire and Legend instead of releasing a useless alpha update for N1.

So pray that HTC release the kernel as soon as possible
