For A2SD, dont use a swap partition.

I used Amon_Ra's recovery to format my card with 512mb of ext3 and the rest as fat32.

I've read that if you use more than about 768mb of ext3 A2SD doesn't work correctly.

It's working fine for me though. I'm using A2SD+ too

I'm totally newby. This is my 1st post. Here goes I was runing r21 just fine on my N1 on T-mobile network.

When I tried r22 it flashed fine & it runs OK but no data. It won't connect to internet. Am I missing something? The phone works fine both incoming & outgoing calls

You have manually enter the APN for T-mobile US....it's somewhere in this topic I think around page 160

MENU >>Settings>> Wireless & networks>> Mobile networks>> Access Point Names --> Add T-mobile APN settings for MMS and Internet

Settings here: T-Mobile US

Will upload it shortly be sure to install apn backup and restore from market and backup your working apn as I include apn backup and restore in the rom for ease of use. So if apn does not work u can just restore yours.

I need some help. I installed r22 and after that my phone started acting up REALLY BAD. I had to get the APN settings in there, but still after that my phone never stopped syncing up my email and contacts, it had that sync icon up there for about a day, and never got any emails, I wiped and installed a new bake of r21, and it looks like it's syncing forever. Any ideas? Did I screw up my phone?

Please help.

My phone did this as well if i didn't install the "friendstream" app from the kitchen.

Did you cook your rom with or without friendstream?

If you cooked it without, that might be your problem... try cooking a new rom with friendstream and see if that fixes yours. That is what fixed mine.

Hope that helps

Okay, so this might have been answered and if so i am sorry, but since my phone has the ssh server, how do i find my phone's address to connect to it?

I actually did cook mine without friendstream. Thank you, I'm going to bake a new one.

Should I go r22 and try that one or should I just go r21?

Well here is my blend.. I pulled parts from Manup's theme and a few others also added the battery percent into the mix added some crucial apps for me and my techs. Also added latest oc'ed undervolted kernel and a few other tweaks pulled a couple BT modules from cyan's ROM and my Jawbone Icon is working perfectly running new a2dp firmware so not sure how BT will work for others.

All credit for this ROM goes to Paul hands down

Here is the APN file I backed up and restored to get everything working just create a folder on your sdcard named ApnBackupRestore and place this file in it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6408333/apns-20100514214901.xml then after flash if you have no APN (ie. working data) then launch ApnBackupRestore from app drawer and choose restore.

I would recommend a wipe before flashing this since alot of files in te framework where altered and you could end up with issues if you dont. I WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANYTHING YOU CHOOSE TO DO TO YOUR DEVICE.

Here is the motherload -

If you have a problem with me posting this please let me know Paul and I will pull it.

Prety sure he doesn't want roms outside of the kitchen floating around:

So what's the verdict then testers? Good? Speedy? Smoooooooooth? :)

I think it's very important I work out a solution to pre-odex before I make a general release... this will be a change to the kitchen.

I am out of the office most of tomorrow (visiting HTC!) but i'll do my best to get the ROM out for everyone ASAP.

Please don't post your own kitchen builds online, I don't want multiple iterations of R22 floating around!

P

Just the heads up, Paul explicitly asked not to link the test builds. Someone did it over at xda and he wasnt to happy, and rightfully so. I myself dont pay for the services of having a the ad-free/kitchen build thingamagig and I would love to have r22 already but I rather wait for his final release. So if you dont mind do as Paul has asked and remove that link. Thanks

I finally have apps2sd working on my Ext4.

Should i not be able to move .apk's from /system to my SD card? I tried this(via. root explorer) with a few, and they disappeared from my home screen when i did, and i had to move them back.

So many thanks, worked great for me, this is the hack i've looking for for months, I hope paul can solve this issue with the kernel source code listed yesterday without the help of gscript

Glad that it works for you. I've made a separate thread for newbies who would like to have step by step instructions

I did this and still doesn't work. In fact, my computer does not even recognize that I have a separate file system (EXT3).

How did you get it working? i would love to know. Not sure about moving existing apps, i always waited to install apps untill i got a2sd working, then they all installed to sd. /shrug
