I was able to connect just fine with r21. Does r22 need to b configured or did I do something wrong

Your answer is all over these last few pages. you must configure APN with r22.

For those saying only use 512mb for ext3 for A2SD, that sucks. 512mb is not a whole lot more than you would have to install to originally is it? i have over a gig of apps i want to install. 512 just wont cut it for A2SD for me.

If I bake r22 with a2sd or a2sd+ I get stuck in a boot loop. I have 1gb ext3 partition (I saw a few posts back that someone tried reducing theirs to 512mb and it didn't work) that was formatted in Amon recovery.

Does it have to be formatted this way as stated in the a2sd description?

To use A2SD, you should partition your SD card to have a FAT32 partition first, then an EXT3 partition second.

If so, how? There's no option in Amon recovery to format the FAT32 partition first. I'd really like to get a2sd working as that seems to be my only major problem so far.

Everything has been good but I did notice when I power on the phone, it takes about 60 seconds to gain signal and connect to AT&T while on r21 I did not have that lag between starting up and connecting. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks,

r22 test: way way way snappier than r21 and even r19!

No force closes on anything yet, especially in the settings I was getting some (connect to PC, accounts & sync). Peep and Friendstream seem to be working right. Loving it so far, and can't wait to see what will be the result once the Desire kernel is integrated in this ROM. I may go back to using this ROM full-time after a week with MCR Stock ROM r14...

Could this be due to the APN issue? did you manually enter APN? if you did not, you need to. If you have done it already, then i dont know what could be causing that. Can you log in to FB through the browser?

If you are coming from different rom, and been using a2sd there, make sure you wipe ext also, before flashing new rom. And it is not true about that 512MB. i have 1403 or 1408MB, and it works like charm.

Yes, I'm coming from Cyanogen and was using ext4. Thanks, I'll try what you said :)

Where is the option to enable A2SD? I've looked through all the settings and can't find it. I also don't see an sd-ext folder in Astro like I used to when I used ext4 on Cyanogen.

I haven't really been impressed up until now. I have been using this ROM on and off since r18, mostly using r19 and r21. Both just seemed a bit slow and too buggy for me. R22 is absolutlely wonderful. It FLIES on my Nexus and plan on using this as my main ROM from this point forward. I just can't wait until we [hopefully] get the FM radio working. Keep up all the hard work Paul. You're awesome!

Thanks,

This seems to be an issue with some kernels. Hwen I build my own kernel, with my own undervolting tables, I notice that it happens. When I use a stock kernel or a CM kernel I typically se no issues, but if I use an undervolted or AVS kernel like say IntersectRaven's or Ivan Dimovkovik's kernel, I see it. However with Pershoot's OC/UV kernel I don't.

I think it's linked to how much the kernel is undervolted, since CM & Pershoot are both conservative with undervolting, where IR's, ID's, & my own kernels are quite liberal in comparison with how much we lower the proc. voltages and the ones with lower voltages seem to show the issue

So Paul are you going to wait to integrate the Desire Kernel into R22 before you release it, or will that come later?

Alpha 22 sounds simply amazing! All of these reviews make me more interested, though I guess waiting isn't such of a problem..

Wipe ext before you flash.

You sure it'll work like that?

I find battery life to still suffer compared to stock ROM MCR, however it seems to be better. Android System sure isn't taking up as much "partial wake lock" as before, in fact it's almost normal.. Things are definitely improving on that front.
