Great Rom! I love the HTC Sense UI, but is anyone experiencing trouble with the speech recognition? The speak now prompt appears but it doesnt register my speech

Maybe you have to talk in a British accent. j/k.

I haven't tried speech recognition now.

Everything seems ok. I havent realized any bugs or errors. Keyboard and wifi are also ok. I'm not going to install Cynogen or whatever. Sense UI rocks. Thank you very much.

Two things I noticed while playing around with the alpha7.

Using Pandora, when I went to share a song it gives me a contact list but instead of seeing names, I see numbers instead. I've posted a screenshot below of what it looks like.

Also, I pushed the stock nexus one Gallery app to the alpha build and I get a force close when I press the camera icon within the Gallery.

great rom! everything rocks for daily usage with no problems aside from the apps that are fully supported by the N1. question however, does anyone have any issues with incoming calls on call waiting? i get a nasty buzz sound when an incoming call comes in and not the normal ringtone/beep sound to let you know another call is coming in?

Ok after a 45 minute phone call with my lawyer I have to say this... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE POST THE BT FIX IF NOTHING ELSE......................

Go here, install this kernel (and the wifi module, if you want wifi) and your BT will work again.

OC-UV kernel

You need the ko that was compiled with that specific kernel image.

P

thanks. got a new kernel/ko combo from Pershoot's OC page on XDA and that did the trick on the Desire ROM.

Hi, would you guys recommend using this rom for everyday use? I have be reading about this sms time issue. Is this a problem that everyone is having?

Yeah it's fine for everyday, one or two bugs but near as dammit everything important works.

I run a business and my phone takes a hammering so I couldn't tolerate a rom that didn't function.

it [Exchange] does, and works like a dream!!!

That may well convince me to go for this then... That and the browser with Flash support were the two things I preferred on the HTC Hero!

What one did you download...

This is from pershoot's OC post on the XDA forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...238&page=20

*****************************************************************

http://www.sendspace.com/file/0ingvv (zImage-cm_2632-oc-uv-xtra)

note: if you had issues flashing the kernel from cm5.03 release, you will not be able to flash this kernel.

<><>

wifi module:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/yfqty7 (bcm4329.ko)

***************************************************

This combo of kernel - 2.6.32.8-cyanogenmod root@pershoot-ubuntu #7

and .ko give me 1.113 OC + wifi/bluetooth on the the Desire ROM.

Just fastboot flash the oc-uv-xtra kernel to zimage

and ADB push the .ko to system/lib/modules

and bingo.

Just wanted to say thanks a lot, awesome work, so good I've signed up to ad-free.

I have a Nexus One dock and on the normal build I get the google clock app + time/date screensaver when I dock. Is there any chance that will go into a future build?

I'm happy to help with any debug issues and the like if you need some support :(

Yes you can download it from here http://www.droid-life.com/p/downloads.html

I did try clock application and it works great...

I'm specifically using the original ERD79 build fingerprint to try and mitigate issues with missing apps. Odd. I don't see any missing for me either!

P

I couldnt see MyBackup Pro at least.

Possible problems with the build.prop and market not recognizing HTC desire? Have you looked into that?

Edit: HTC passion / Nexus one...

Thanks a bunch Paul. Loving the ROM :( Anyone having issues with their sms timestamps? Everytime I get a txt it displays them in the wrong order. I'll get a txt from a friend, and it'll appear before the txt I sent o_o

Same here.
