Minor kernel config tweaks.'Car Home' included by request.Bootsound removed - it will be an optional extra in the kitchen. It was annoying me. :(P
Guest damniatx Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 THANKS paul, YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Guest duderuud Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Thx, just installed A8 but I'm now downloading A9 :( Will keep you updated on how it works.
Guest christonge Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Downloading.... cheers Paul
Guest shaniac Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Are you using the application that mounts the USB? Check in your apps-list, think its named "Mount USB" or alike. Run it to mount, run it again to unmount. //P No, the *phone* isn't seeing the card. I can mount it manually with the 'mount' command (thru adb or Terminal Emulator), and then I can use it as USB mass storage, but the phone apps never see it. On boot, I get a "SD Card Removed" notification, and if I continue to run, I get a dialog that says "You must have a SD card to save settings". Settings->SD Card & phone storage options all say "Unavailable". Kernel logs "cannot mount /sdcard, volume is not bound". There has to be some kernel difference between CMod and this ROM. I wish I had thought to save the /proc/config.gz from CMod when I had it running....

Guest Mantisen Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Oops, should have mentioned, ALPHA 9 DOES NOT REQUIRE A WIPE. P I figure it doesn't require a wipe if you're upgrading from Alpha 8 but you need to wipe if you're flashing from other ROMs? :(
Guest saquib Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Anyone experiencing problems with battery charging ? Occasionally the battery charge indicator does not light up and battery continues draining, even when plugged in to mains charger. Rebooot clears up. Alpha 8.
Guest DougEdey Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Has anyone got Wifi working on Alpha8/9? I had it scanning succesfully at work on Alpha7 but now it just refuses to see any wireless networks.
Guest jphermans Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 @Paul When will the kitchen be ready ?
Guest metatron Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Has anyone got Wifi working on Alpha8/9? I had it scanning succesfully at work on Alpha7 but now it just refuses to see any wireless networks. Had wifi working on alpha8, just not bluetooth. Haven't tried alpha 9 yet
Guest christonge Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Has anyone got Wifi working on Alpha8/9? I had it scanning succesfully at work on Alpha7 but now it just refuses to see any wireless networks. Working fine now... I went back from Alpha 7 to the Nexus ROM ERE27 then to Alpha 8....
Guest DougEdey Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Had wifi working on alpha8, just not bluetooth. Haven't tried alpha 9 yet Turns out it's my custom wpa-supplicant conf, It worked on the original Nexus One ROM to connect to LEAP but now it doesn't :( Scratch that! Whilst everything was working before, I simplified my wpa_supplicant to WPA-EAP rather than LEAP and it works fine now. Edited February 23, 2010 by DougEdey
Guest niclassoderlund Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Er, I don't really see a problem here? Himem is working fine for you. P Sorry to bother you again - all of you, in fact - but I just flashed A9 with a clean fresh wipe etc. This is my output from adb shell free: Niclas] ~ $ adb shell free total used free shared buffers Mem: 395028 374532 20496 0 32 Swap: 0 0 0 Total: 395028 374532 20496 Niclas] ~ $ .. and Advanced Task Managers tells me that i have around 80MB free.. Im at a loss. Am I the only one having this problem? Really? //P
Guest ugomor1970 Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Hi Paul any news for A2SD SYSTEM/PARTITION ? IS IT POSSIBLE HAVE IT ON THE DESIRE ROM ?
Guest 7500usr Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Paul, Quick Question, any thing we can do to extend the battery life...seems to drain quick?

Im at a loss. Am I the only one having this problem? Really? //P Tss.. After three reboots, installing apps, ATM and adb shell free shows all my memory I deserve again :-) I'll shut up now. But it _could_ relate to some reports from people feeling A9/A8 felt sluggish at first. Just a thought. //P

ATM is probably reporting that you have 80MB free on your /data partition rather than RAM. It calls it MEM, but it's not referring to RAM. P
