Hi paul,

I've seen your screenshots and some video around and... you're doing a great job!

After having a Hero I just got my n1, great phone but I'm missing the sense ui so... I downloaded your alfa7 yesterday and the alfa8 today but on both version I just got the boot image with sound (HTC quetly brilliant) and... that's all! :(

Do you know someone having the same problem?

here are my n1 data:

firmware: 2.1-update1

baseband: 32.24.00.22U_4.03.00.21_2

kernel: 2.6.29-01117-g4bc62c2 - android-build@apa26 #1

build #: ERE27

ciao

Felice

you need to wipe first.

Hi Paul, stunning work here, have massively impressed my work collegues with this! I have a couple of requests/questions that I hope you or any of the knowledgable members here may know...

1) Is there any chance of getting spare parts or dev tools for this ROM, I like tweaking the animations/transitions, also the DEV tools have the option of limiting the amount of open apps, thus saving memory and maybe battery? Or could someone point me in the right direction to down load it?

2) I notice that the Alpha 9 rom is based on ERE27, does this mean that the ERE27 radio is its best pal, or will the 36b be better?

Thanks!

For 1, become an Adfree or Plus member and you can get it :(

2. Either radio works, they run primarily independent of the ROM

i have huge problems too with ERE27 (signal strength "bumps" from 0 to 4)..

can i reflash it to 36b or do i need to take notice of something?!

For those that need bluetooth, heres how to get it working until Paul can find a fix...

Go on and connect your headset or whatever, if like mine you will get paired but not connected. You might have to toggle make device discoverable on and of a few times as its searching to keep it refreshing but eventually it will find it. After you get paired, but not connected restart your phone. You then can connect to it just fine...only its a 1 shot deal as once you disconnect you will have to reboot your phone to make a connection again.

I was wondering if anyone is having the trouble with charging over USB. When I do it it actually drains the battery but the green charging light is showing. I read over on XDA that Cyanogen said its a kernel issue.

Can we flash cyanogen's old kernel on it? Is there a fix that I can apply?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Figured it out myself. I flashed @kmobs undervolted and OC'd .32 kernel. Once I did I rebooted into recovery, reflashed the desire ROM and it started charging.

Heres the link in case anyone else runs into this issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633238

2 new kitchen options.

Contacts

This option includes the standard Contacts applications, which is not normally in the Desire ROM. It can happily co-exist with the HTC equivalent.

Messaging

This option includes the standard Messaging applications, which is not normally in the Desire ROM. NOTE: If you select this option, it REPLACES the HTC equivalent.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it sends on every ROM I put on it. In fact I figured it out, it was sending the MMS but would always say pending. Tooling around in the SMS settings I found by default it asked for confirmation after sending. Shut that off and works fine now.

Woke up this morning and noticed I'm not getting SMS and email alerts now. No sound and nothing in the notification bar. Thought a reset would clear it up but nope. Still nothing. Going to flash alpha 9 now.

My one notification from google calendar didn't arrive either. Im on 9 now. Haven't had a chance to play yet. Just installed. I made the mistake of adding the radio image using the Kitchen

here. I didn't need to update it. The Alpha 9 installed from the zip, then it asked to reboot and install the radio image. It was stuck on formatting cache for 20 min. I gave up and just rebooted

and all is well. I noticed in about Phone, that a reboot is required on these Alphas. Not sure most people here realize that.

Yo, Paul, if you read this, is it norm for a reboot required after installing a new zip Alpha?

PS...thanks for the tip on the confirmation. I noticed that too and was going to look to shut that off. You reminded me to look :(

Will there be a photos/gallery option, so the user can bake the 3D gallery only?

And as if by magic, A2SD appeared in the kitchen... report back with how it goes (not an A2SD user currently myself). Script by Cyanogen, freshened by Teknologist / Me.

Thanks for all your hard work! I have my build running with Apps2SD, and I removed some of the apps on system, you mentioned I can move everything that should be on the system partition back to it, what needs to be moved over there? and where should I put it?

UPDATE: With a baked one without A2SD the boot goes fine. A no-go with A2SD included. Can you have a look Paul?

You don't have to do anything as it works by itself. all apps will be moved to sd card.

not installing apps to my SD card, moving the symlinked system files from /data back to /system

Doesn't happen for me neither on MCR 1.6 nor on Desire with TCK 0.4 (2.6.32.8 cm kernel tree)

Just tested and USB cable connected to MacBookPro and NexusOne desktop cradle both charge battery through USB (battery level does increase)

Could you 'adb logcat' and look for problems?

Hey Paul, thanks for giving the option to remove Rosie. In the future, will it also be possible to auto remove the htc widgets when Rosie's removed?
