Guest nexvision Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Is there a way to grab a few programs off the htc build and get them to work on stock nexus ? exchange calendar sync and the mail and sms widget being the 3 main ones i would want to bring over. just curious if its possible since it is basically the same phone. This was tried on the G1 as well as the MT3G the problem is those apps require the HTC framework. Which is the core of the ROM and deemed not possible.
Guest bobtentpeg Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I am stuck white screen on the htc logo I baked alpha 10 and did not back up please help how can i fix this? If you read..... You need to pop the battery and unplug the USB cord if attached.

Guest VJKotts Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I've tried multiple times to go back to stock 2.1. It appears that all of my Nandroid backups are corrupted (alpha 8, alpha 9). Tried flashing Amon-RA recovery files but that hasn't worked either. Does anyone know of any other way or should I just flash Cyanogen ROM? The battery life of Alpha 10 is what is bothering me at the moment.
Guest concords Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Is there any way to use other IME? I have installed a chinese input and the keyboard does not show up in the IME. Any solution?
Guest Atttt Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Sorry to bother you guys,,, I am a noob and just lost my nexus one's virginity (I mean rooted) few days ago. I flashed the alpha10 ROM. The ROM is fantastic but I faced the same problems with other people in this forum, such as no wifi, no LED flash..... I read through the post and I tried to flash the boot.alpha6-1.img to see if it helps.... I am not sure if i am doing the right thing. - I plug in the cable, and power on to bootloader. - open a dos windows, and go to the SDK folder - then type "fastboot flash boot boot.alpha6-1.img" - It showed "OKAY" in both sending and writing - reboot the phone I also tried the alpha2, but i cannot even get into the system after flashing it. (at last, saved by Nandroid backup :( ) Still the wifi and the LED light did not fixed. Can someone give me some tips on this? The Wi-Fi is really important to me .... THANKS~~~~~~~THANKS,THANKS,THANKS,THANKS,THANKS,THANKS
Guest dr3blanc0 Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Can someone please give me the simple instructions tounlock the bootloader and root your nexus one. I searched online anr they arent very informational. Please help i really wan this rom
Guest PhonePersona Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I know this ROM is still in Alpha phase (Almost said 'Alpha Flight' for a second there. Heh-heh :() but I'd like to know what plans are in the works, if any, to improve the battery life on this ROM. Its a great ROM and I think Paul, Teknologist and the rest of the supporting cast are doing an excellent job. I really do. Still, I'm curious about what improvements can be made to ze battery. Now I'm off to bed. I need to get up early if I intend to beat the traffic as I head off to Vail to snowboard in the morning. G'night y'all.
Guest DougEdey Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 ALSO...he was able to get the original N1 dock clock app into the rom and it works perfectly with the DOCK...comes up when you plug it into the dock and everything! This is known, it's just installing the DeskClock.apk, however music causes it to crash. :( Sorry to bother you guys,,, I am a noob and just lost my nexus one's virginity (I mean rooted) few days ago. I flashed the alpha10 ROM. The ROM is fantastic but I faced the same problems with other people in this forum, such as no wifi, no LED flash..... WiFi works fine since alpha8. Not sure what you're doing for it not to work though I know this ROM is still in Alpha phase (Almost said 'Alpha Flight' for a second there. Heh-heh :() but I'd like to know what plans are in the works, if any, to improve the battery life on this ROM. That's beyond Pauls control I believe, you can try and used the Undervolting kernel if you really want, but I'm just going to wait for Paul to get hold of the Beta or Release Candidate from his sources.

Guest smirnophe Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 hmmm weird thing - tried flashing it several times, tried all wipe combinations but those sensor keys won't light up. quite irritating when using it in the dark. Can someone with working backlight tell me their way of flashing to alpha 10? Same thing here... I get it with all Alphas, I hope it will be ok with beta and/or final ! The point is that only few peoples are having this problem so I think it will be hard for Paul to debug this. ++

It just takes me to android.modaco.com And what the hell are deets?????????????????? The kitchen is on the very first page (2nd post) of this thread. It looks like a screenshot, but it's the actual kitchen. You can customize and cook right from there.
