yeah i have the zip package in my download, when i unzip i have it for windows (.exe. file), linux and for mac both terminal files, if i click the mac one terminal comes up with all this:

usage: fastboot [ <option> ] <command>

commands:

update <filename> reflash device from update.zip

flashall flash boot + recovery + system

flash <partition> [ <filename> ] write a file to a flash partition

erase <partition> erase a flash partition

getvar <variable> display a bootloader variable

boot <kernel> [ <ramdisk> ] download and boot kernel

flash:raw boot <kernel> [ <ramdisk> ] create bootimage and flash it

devices list all connected devices

reboot reboot device normally

reboot-bootloader reboot device into bootloader

options:

-w erase userdata and cache

-s <serial number> specify device serial number

-p <product> specify product name

-c <cmdline> override kernel commandline

-i <vendor id> specify a custom USB vendor id

logout

http://theunlockr.com/2010/01/02/how-to-root-the-nexus-one/

follow those instructions to root it they're simple and step by step and there's a video too.

i do have one question though, what exactly is a wipe? i've heard you need to wipe before putting this rom on. i've unlocked my bootloader and rooted, is it just a matter of waiting for Paul to re-upload the rom and follow the instructions on how to install a custom rom from theunlockr? (http://theunlockr.com/2010/01/08/how-to-load-a-custom-rom-on-the-nexus-one/)

or is 'wiping' some step i must do before i flash the rom?

thanks.

hey obviously owning a mac you can't put cd C:\Superboot, because there is no C: like on windows, what did you put and where did you put the folder?

Still playing with Alpha 3 (with fast booted alpha2boot.img)

I have noticed something when I get a notification my trackball glows white like normal but the LED up the top right starts to glow green aswell (like when the phone is fully charged) which is interesting.

How many people have to tell you to use the appropriate thread before you actually take any notice?

Another finding,

Nexus one torch app access the LED Flash just fine. If I launch the camera app while the led is on it turns off..

I dont know if this is obvious but figured id mention it.
