Or alternatively the unlock pattern? I can only seem to manage to have the unlock pattern AND the HTC unlock screen, which I don't really want.
Guest herossie Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 My Nexus did not want to pass the unlock screen with the alpha 10 ROM...even after wiping to factory default no luck...i managed to reach the SIM unlock keyboard once but then the phone was frozen again...only battery removal seemed to be working :-(
Guest renboy Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Actually, I have both the gesture lock screen and the down-swipe HTC screen - and I like it that way - The down-swipe screen also shows you missed calls / messages since your last unlock - and it's very convenient to just press the power button to see your messages without actually unlocking the device and looking at the notifications.

Guest Evil Kaz Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Dont know if this has already been reported, am experiencing some dodgyness on browser every so often. There's no warning or indication as to when it happens, the browser just reverts to the homescreen and all browsing history is lost. Strange behavior, apart from that its fast,fast,fast. I'm also experiencing browser crashes, its strange, sometimes it happens every few minutes then other times it wont crash at all. Also my phone has locked up a few times while in the browser, needing to pull out the battery to restart. Putting this all down to early build weirdness, still i'm loving the flash support. Thank you Paul !! :( Also, i 've to agree about the HTC lock scrren, i've accidently called at least 3 people while the phone has been in my pocket, didnt have this problem with the stock horizontal slide screen. Oh well, good reason to keep the swipe lock thingy on :(

I dont think the camera flash works in alpha 10, but there's is a rom on xda developers that fixes the flash, Paul mentioned it few pages back.

Guest PhonePersona Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Finally somehow got this on Nexus One using a guide that someone put out there. I only have one big question/concern. I use Google Voice for every call I make. Even when I try to initiate a phone call from the Voice application itself, the HTC Dialer seems to take over and the outgoing phone call is made the phone dialer itself, not Google Voice. I want all calls made from Google Voice and selected that option with Google Voice itself. Has anyone else had this issue? I have this problem. And I can verify that the option was available on version 9 of this ROM. I've made some international calls that I know are gonna FREAK me the heck out when my bill arrives because of this issue, actually. What I've tried to do is have GV ask me if I wanna use my phone or GV every time i try to make a call. Still not sure if it works properly or not though. Update - Just tested it and it doesn't work. Specifically: Barcode scanner ShopSavvy 3DCoche (Wheres My car? What does the 'H' mean? H stands for HSPA, its Tmobiles solution to 4G.. 7.2Mbps i believe.. its faster than 3G :(
Guest T7Labs Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Also FYI, If you have previously installed apps on another ROM use Titanium Backup to back them up and then restore them to this rom.. this works especially great for apps that aren't showing up on the market anymore. IE: I had Cyanogenmond 5.0.2, it had Car Finder (Wheres My Car? AR) installed on it, i nandroid restored back to this Cyanogenmod, did a titanium backup. Flashed back to the HTC Desire Alpha 10 rom, and then did a titanium restore of the app... now ive got it :(
