I have this problem.

And I can verify that the option was available on version 9 of this ROM.

I've made some international calls that I know are gonna FREAK me the heck out when my bill arrives because of this issue, actually.

What I've tried to do is have GV ask me if I wanna use my phone or GV every time i try to make a call.

Still not sure if it works properly or not though.

Update - Just tested it and it doesn't work.

This is a big problem for me :(

As a workaround, you can go to www.google.com/voice in the browser and have it call you that way.

[Edit]: Just tested this and it DOES work. Caller ID on my other phone was my GV #, and call connected perfectly :(

Could somebody help? I have downloaded successfully but after reboot there was a second long "hero" screen flash and than I'm looking already for fifteen minutes at the black screen.

You shouldn't see a 'HERO' anything.

This is the HTC Desire/Bravo ROM which has been ported to the Nexus One phone.

Why are you seeing a HERO logo on your screen?

Please make sure you're flashing the correct ROM to the correct phone.

Good luck, buddy :(

got mine working. it's a lot smoother than i thought it was going to be. it's my first experience with sense and i really like it.

a couple bugs i noticed (not a big deal since this isn't my every day phone)

call waiting does some weird stuff. when i have a call come in, it just makes a series of high pitch hisses and pops and i can't pick up the call.

the status light that shows charging at the top will flicker at random.

mail app with a configured exchange account force quits A LOT. it may have something to do with the fact that i have 12,000 messages in my inbox.

flip clock doesn't flip (not sure if it's even supposed to in this version of Sense)

all in all, it's a great build and look forward to future developments.

more like 3.5G tbh

T-mobiles next generation of mobile internet is rivaling sprints "4g" in test markets so calling it 3.5g is really unnecessary... HSPA+ will do just fine... or 4G! With that being said i have noticed a bug i havent seen posted... when i press the small refresh bar on the 4x4 htc news widget it crashes my home page... any reasons or suggestions... also quickboot seems not to work with this rom!

One thing I noticed.... and I havent tried reproducing it but maybe others can comment... I called voicemail, and hit the MUTE button... I then listened to my messages and hung up (notice: without unmuting).... A few minuted later I got a call, the other party couldnt hear me... I hung up attributing it to a bad connection... a second later another person calls - same thing they cant hear me... I'm like WTF... I try mute/unmute a few times, nothing... i hangup and try calling them, they dont here... after a few tries i power off, power on the phone and all is back to normal...

Not surei f this is the correct place to post this but... has anyone gotten the [Kernel-.33] 1.113ghz kernel to work with this rom?

Will it work? If not is there some other solution? Just curious really.

Link to kernel on xda is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...156#post5626156

Yes. I've been using the OC-UV Kernels with each Alpha version of the Desire ROM. I'm now on to the .33 version

I'm currently on Kernel 2.6.33-Cyanogenmod root@pershoot-ubuntu #2

Software is Sense Alpha 10

Don't forget to download the exact associated .ko, and ADB push it to /system/lib/modules to activate WiFi if you decide to use the OC-UV kernel.

Best!

This HTC Desire ROM on my Nexus One is absolutely perfect! i have no idea why Google and Nexus One did not go off the SenseUI Option if Nexus One was built by HTC....But Paul we are all waiting on this Beta to drop!! Hopefully ASAP! Only downfall is that I am not able to sync my Bluetooth Stereo Headsets to the phone...also I hope the Phone App Option would look diffrent kinda hate it....

Except that its not 4G and calling it that is misleading. :(

Your taking a very US centric view but here in England i've been able to connect to HSDPA for a number of years at least. Hell the old MDA Vario III's on T-Mobile UK would connect at those speeds when Web'n'Walk came out.

Therefore my point being while it may feel like "next generation" but its not 4G :(

HTC are doing that but its called the Desire :( Link

Bear in mind, these customs skins do have the downside of lagging way behind when it comes to official Android updates, just look at the Hero still stuck on 1.5. Which is why i think the "Google Experience" handsets are better in the long run.

Not sure if this has been said but at the unlock screen, the menu button can unlock the screen without sliding the bar.

Dude what the hell did you flash! lol. Redownload this ROM. Wipe and flash it. You should not see Hero anywhere.

Yea, if you do it from the browser, it's gonna work of course. Hopefully, getting the Google Voice working natively from within the Desire ROM will work soon.

I have the alpha 10 rom on my phone and everything seems great. But I can't seem to get my yahoo mail working. I set it up , but it always says no messages. Also when I click on a field to type in the web browser the phone automatically goes under what I clicked. Then I have to scroll up and touch the field again to get the keyboard to pop up. Someone please help. :(.

Tmobiles HSPA+ is not the same as their HSDPA. Naturally HSPA+ is not nationwide and wont be for the most of this year I believe. Just in tests so far though it is faster than what sprint is calling 4G.

uh... you've been getting 7mbps to 21mbps download on your mobile phone for how long?!?!? The MDA Vario III have not been running on the HSPA+ network!

BTW this rom rocks... been using since day one and lovin it!

Hi everyone,

Just some news while Paul is away:

I am already running a TCK 0.6 kernel for a few days on my N1. It is based on the android MSM 2.6.33 kernel tree with our config and just 2 tweaks from the XDA community:

-Undervolted only for the sleep frequency of 245Mhz

-Softbuttons readjustments

The kernel is uber stable ! (had a few spontaneous reboots myself with CM version of 2.6.33 so, as we aim for stability here, I decided to base this one and all our future kernels on the official google android msm kernel tree)

It's fast and the battery life is amazing!

Everything works like a charm.

As soon as Paul is back from holidays, I am pretty sure they will be available through the kitchens and ROM packages for both MCR and Desire ROMs

please be patient !

Cheers!

If i was you i would be using ADB to logcat as the phone boots up. From there you will generally have a pretty good idea as to why it isnt completing the boot process.

Start looking at your sd card, specifically wiping your ext partition with Amon_RA's recovery image, Or even doing a complete re-partition, doign a complete wipe of your data partition and re-flashing.
