Guest mk86 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 hey guys.. for now iam using cm-rom, but last time i had the alpha 10 installed i had the following issue: I'am using Seesmic for Twitter, but with the desire rom i had no notifications when new tweets arrived.. i needed to look into seesmic by myself and check for updates! it was not closed by a taskmanager and notifications were not off in seesmic.. i checked this a few times.. anyone had the same issue?! or is this already known?
Guest Aspergillus Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Hi Paul, I see one mayor Problem witth this ROM... It seems that the Keyboard Microphone is not using the same Application than all the other functions using seech recognition. Only the keyboard microphone is working properly. You can easyli see that its obiously not the same application by changeing the language of your phone to german and the keyboard language to english.. As I said.. only the keyboard Microphone-button is leading to a working speech recognition. The other one does not even take up the signal.. (only the first time after reboot it does ) Regardsa Aspi
Guest smonme Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) an UV kernel takes care of this a little, I would agree however that battery life is my largest issue right now. hmm i just killed my battery after 11 hours of semi use (unplugged at 10PM EST, phone died 9AM EST), I have email set to 1 hour (anyone know how to make the default mail app for htc push?) and everything else is set to push (running facebook widget, htc clock/weather, gps on, wifi on, brightness is UI default, also receiving background notifications from bloo for facebook) Basic use for 11 hours texting, looking at webpages and listening to music. I am charging right now when i get to full charge I will see if letting it completely die and charge up did anything. Anyone get the trackball light to work for notifications? the LED is still being used for me, kinda miss my trackball. Edited March 2, 2010 by smonme
Guest PeRKoniX Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Hi Paul, I've been looking at the latest CyanogenMod release and I thinks the features below(which are implemented in the latest 5.0.4) would make a great addon to the desire rom :( * New lights library from ChainsDD - full color trackball notifications * 360-degree auto-orientation from Optedoblivion (right/left enabled by default, check option in settings app for 180-degree orientation) Edited March 2, 2010 by PeRKoniX

Guest Paul Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 OK peeps, i'm going to be updating the kitchen to Alpha 11 shortly, with the prebaked downloads following afterwards. Full changelog coming up, but changes are primarily a new Tecknologist .33 kernel and modules, optional dock compatible desk clock, camera with working 5 megapixel mode and flash and the market fix. All confirmed working here, i'd like kitchen users to confirm the same before I post the prebaked builds (we know the market is a bit odd, a fix for one isn't always a fix for all). Stay tuned... P
Guest t2abousa Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 MODACO can u include the Amazon MP3 store? or how can I install it on my alpha 9/10?

P Thank you for all of your hard work :( Quick question, I am currently using a ROM from the XDA forum (NexusRemix1.1) and there is a transparent status menu pull down (Not sure what its called, that thing you can pull down from the top of the screen when you recieve text messages, voicemails, etc). Would it be possible to incorporate that feature into your more stable ROM? Again thank you!
