Guest Docmjldds Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Not when I upgraded from 13 to 14, but for prior upgrades I did. I might wipe and reflash though. My battery life is worse than ever now for some reason. I have gone from 12 hours down to 6-7 hours at best. And that's with the aftermarket 1600 Seido battery <_<

I have the same setup as I did running MCR and only main thing I do is use setcpu to limit the CPU in standby.
Guest Amdathlonuk Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 I've got an odd issue. Formatted my SD card with a 576Mb Ext 3 partition ready for Apps2SD. Wiped the phone and flashed the ROM hoever my internal memeory went from 60Mb used to 103Mb used when I installed some programs. I can no longer install anymore apps as I get the message 'space too low'....anyone else seen this? Tried a reboot and nothing, may have to re-format and reflash to see if that fixes it. Funny, I'm only flashing for the superior camera!
Guest PhonePersona Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Maybe I am just totally confused. I logged on to phone browser. I am at the URL www.google.com/voice I even was asked to log in again with Google user name and password. I am at screen now that says Mobile with a phone icon top left and it shows my google phone number correctly. I type in a quick phone number to call. The screen changes to call the number with: phone 1: (my cell number):(my cell number) IOW, it will call using my cell number instead of using google number at top of this screen. IF... I use my method of calling my google voice number, the enter in my 4 digit in, and then enter in the number 2 and the phone number I chose as a quick call, this is completed by calling with the google voice number which is registered correctly with caller ID on the phone I am calling. Where am i going wrong with this. <sigh> I won't lie. This confuses me. I'll tell you what I typically do. I login to GV as you described and I don't typically need to dial a number as I've got a huge contact database, but it shouldn't make a difference. When you complete the call process, it'll ask what number you wish to call from. I select my mobile phone and about 3-5 seconds after, my mobile phone is called by GV (This is a callback/verification process) Once I answer the phone, GV proceeds to make the call for me albeit through the phone I just answered. I hope this helps.

Guest Serge Jespers Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 It's blazing fast on my N1. I did notice a few glitches though. For instance, some of the corners on rounded rectangles don't align very well. But absolutely love it!
Guest Paul Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 The online kitchens now feature 'Custom Ingredients' - view this MoDaCo topic for more details! <_< P
Guest anthdroid Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Paul, I realize you won't update the Kitchen with the LED functionality (vs. the much more liked trackball notifications) until you're ready to roll with Alpha 15, and that's fine. Anyway to shut off these trackball notifications for the time being though? Thanks for the help!
Guest Paul Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 anthdroid - extract this - http://content.modaco.net/framework.jar.notrackball.zip - and push it to /data/system-framework/. P

Guest Paul Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 So there's a super cool new Beta app on the market by lilHermit called 'Trackball Alert' that let's you customise the flash colours of the trackball. In Beta 1 (free!) you can change the colours of certain applications (SMS, Email, Gmail, Missed Calls and Twidroid) with additional functionality for adding more applications coming later! Not only can you choose predefined colours, you can use RGB sliders to set custom colours - it rocks! There is one caveat - you need support built into your ROM to use the app. The good news? This ROM supports it already. ROCK ON! Search for 'Trackball Alert' in the Market or scan the QR code below to get started! <_< P

Guest anthdroid Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 anthdroid - extract this - http://content.modaco.net/framework.jar.notrackball.zip - and push it to /data/system-framework/. It worked so seamlessly I'm in amazement! That's it, I think I'll be hooked on Android for some time to come. I downloaded right from my browser, used Astro to unzip and Android-Mate to move to /data/system-framework. Rebooted and it's working wonderfully. Paul, is this an example of what the custom uploader in the Kitchen will be able to handle? If so, i'll just hold onto this and keep baking it in! Thanks!
Guest anthdroid Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Hmm, everything except Handcent SMS works...I know this worked before, but at the moment it seems to still light the trackball in white... Oh well, I don't get too many texts anyway! Better than the green goblin I had before. Thanks again Paul!
Guest carlson8 Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Is it necessary to flash an updated Superboot version after flashing an updated radio? IOW, I updated the radio from ERE27 to ERE36B - do I need to do anything about superboot?

Yes, definitely, if you create a zip with the file at the path /data/system-framework it'll work perfectly. P
Guest socalphil Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) Hi Paul Now before I get flamed down by everybody. I have a question. Are we expecting a new alpha anytime soon and what will be the changelog. I keep pinging this page today and I am afraid I am going to lose my job soon with all my internet use. All I ask is if the flash delay will be fixed soon. I use it in dark situations for business use. And please no rude comments. I am not in the porn business. I love the ROM and do NOT want to go back to the stock ROM. Edited March 12, 2010 by socalphil

And nobody but HTC what will be new features and Paul will need some time to do his magic. Only time will tell, but I doubt HTC will release a rom during the week-end. Guest Amdathlonuk Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Paul, I'm confident Apps2sd is not working correctly. For the 3rd time I have formatted my SDcard, wiped the phone, flashed the rom and tried to reload my apps. I get to about 150 apps loaded and my internal memory goes from 38Mb used to 61Mb used. When it gets to that point it says 'not installed' on anything I click on, then I get the 'low memory' warning in my task bar. Is there another script I need to enable? I had 280 apps on my Cyanogen ROM last night and had 55Mb used only.....with browsing cache...etc.
