Guest Mythrix Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Ah, good thing the camera update didn't work when I tried it... Wifi is definitely more important than the camera for now. Seems to work well so far, hopefully I won't get the boot loop problem again as with 0.010/LCR1.4. :P
Guest vikings123 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Same thing for me.... :-( Yeat, camcorder works OK, and connection (both 3G and Wifi) is not working. :P :D
Guest kronos1 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 l dont know is this offtopic but l have only one question does acer with this new rom have ability to send files over bluetooth?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Yeah I am having WiFi problems as well. 3G works but do not get 3G in my house (did test elsewhere), just WiFi not working. Its all good tho, superhuman will save the day (tho even if you don't, I still thank you for this amazing rom) but til then I gotta go back to the 1.5 cuz EDGE is slow. So to reflash 1.5, do I have to wipe anything first? Edited May 11, 2010 by HustlinDaily
Guest HustlinDaily Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Nevermind, flashed the recovery zip and all is good.

Guest calle_d Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Guys! What have you done with the sound quality??? It's another dimension now... Far, far better than before! I'm amazed :P
Guest Massimo Gengarelli Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Yeah, it's true, but I find that in LCR 1.4 sounds were louder than LCR 1.5. Anyway, quality is more important to me, as I've always got earphones on :P Edited May 11, 2010 by Massimo Gengarelli
Guest Uberadri Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Camera fix broke both Wifi (connected, but no internet) and mobile data (no data icon, no internet) for me too. Restore_Boot_LCR_1.5.zip fixed both. I'm kinda happy it was the camera fix' fault and not some weird error only I had.
Guest malez Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 If have added the another upate file in issue 89 to restore original LCR 1.5 boot image. I am still working on it. Just a few tweaks :P
Guest malez Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I am still breaking my head on this supid wifi issue with fixed camera....boring
Guest elban Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) I've installed the "restore boot LCR 1.5" and after that the same problems remain: - camera force closes a couple second after it's opened. - gallery doesn't show images in sdcard (only from picasa) - cannot change phone ringtone or notification ringtone (settings force closes) I've wiped the cache of both gallery and camera but no luck. Please help thank you! EDIT: it crashes also when opening sound files, here is the related error in the log, it looks like there is some problems with a database: 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : Writing exception to parcel 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such column: is_drm: , while compiling: SELECT * FROM audio WHERE (_data=? and is_drm=0) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteProgram.native_compile(Native Method) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteProgram.compile(SQLiteProgram.java:110) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteProgram.<init>(SQLiteProgram.java:59) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteQuery.<init>(SQLiteQuery.java:49) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDirectCursorDriver.query(SQLiteDirectCursorDriver. ava:49) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabase.rawQueryWithFactory(SQLiteDatabase.java:1 21) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteQueryBuilder.query(SQLiteQueryBuilder.java:316) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at com.android.providers.media.MediaProvider.query(MediaProvider.java:1348) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.content.ContentProvider$Transport.bulkQuery(ContentProvider.java:117) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.content.ContentProviderNative.onTransact(ContentProviderNative.java:98) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at android.os.Binder.execTransact(Binder.java:287) 05-11 15:08:45.106 E/DatabaseUtils(766) : at dalvik.system.NativeStart.run(Native Method) a similar thing happens with images, can't find the is_drm column in the images table. anybody knows how to fix this? EDIT2: I have finally solved, by deleting caches of many applications, changing names of folders and things like that, which I wouldn't be able to reproduce :-) I may have restored, using titaniumbackup, some user data of system applications which I shouldn't have restored.... Guest Pegaxs Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Im getting lock up issues. Just randomly locks up. No reason for it. Waiting for a phone call today and nothing... found out my phone had gone to sleep and went to sleep big time. Getting a bit tired of removing the case every time to remove the battery to reset it. Is there a button sequence we can press that will allow the phone to be hard reset without taking the back of it ? seriously, the back of my phone is as loose as a $2 hooker now. 3 or 4 times a day it needs to be removed to reset. (im running latest 1.5 LCR) Another issue is the silent setting. It does not vibrate. I have to go into the menu and set it to vibrate, but i have to do this every time i put it on silent. The vibrate on silent setting just wont stick. No matter how i put it on silent... from the lock screen swipe for sound off or hold the power button and turn it off there. I have to then go into settings, tick vibrate and back out. Is there a profiles menu im not setting ? I also have an issue with the facebook app... dont know if it's related or not. I cant read new messages sent to me and all the old ones stay. I can delete them, but as soon as i do a refresh, the old messages come back on the phone, but not on the PC. Cant kill the old messages and cant receive new ones! Good part is that the ROM is more stable then the 0.10 rom and a lot faster as well. Thanks to malez and the crew for working on this for us.
Guest Brunkarn Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Sorry but im a real noob.. How do you install addons? I want the launcher and nemo player addon.

Guest MrVanes Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I didn't experience the camera problems (because I don't use video) but flashed the patch and can confirm both camera modes work, wifi works and gallery now shows high res photos! Congrats Malez!
Guest malez Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I don't do that for it, i do it for pleasure and for share, but i you like my work, have a look at my paypal i would really appreciate.
Guest zehunter Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 hi every one, just patch my LCR 1.5 and here is my feeling : wifi : ok before, ok now gallery: never use before, seems to work like a charm now camcorder: totally bad (not possible to quit camcorder mode, all blocked), OK now! thanks again for all you go malez! i'm waiting the end of the month to buy you a beer! :P
Guest Redline66 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Tested : - Wifi : OK. Fast connection to access point. With WEP or WPA. - Internet access : OK. - Camcorder : OK. No more hang up. Also working with Qik. - Gallery 3D : OK (but honestly never had the reported issue about pictures stored on the SD card) However there is a side effect with the latest boot.img provided : the available RAM at startup has reduced by 30 MB, falling in my case from 96 MB to +/- 70 MB. As far as I could test, the ROM remains very fast however. Thanks a lot Malez for all your efforts!!!

Anyway, great job Malez! :P
Guest Redline66 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 After one hour of intensive testing, I can confirm the latest boot.img provided makes the rom globally much more laggy :P But all issues are solved :D

Guest mrbulle Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Is lcr 1.5 compatible ditt the newest 016 bin?
Guest malez Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Is lcr 1.5 compatible ditt the newest 016 bin? Just for information : LCR 1.5 + cam patch () can work on top of the Acer_LiquidE_0.016.01_EMEA_GEN1 bin file So you can flash it, and restore a nandroid backup you have done when on LCR 1.5 or install LCR 1.5 on top Just don't forget to apply the cam patch
