Guest malez Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Sorry for the stupid noob question. Here we go : How can one upgrade from LCR 1.5 (with rom 0.1x) to LCR 1.6 (with rom 1.x) without loosing SMS, apps and stuff ? Is it ok to create a titanium backup with all user apps + system data, install the new LCR, then restore the backup ? You can restore user apps (even if it is recommanded to reinstall and reconfigure them) but never retore system app.
Guest Piter1225 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hi guys, I hope you enjoy LCR 1.6 as much as I do :) We made everything to create ROM which will suite everyone needs. If you feel generous, you can support me or malez by donating us a beer. Cheers

Guest malez Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 In LCR 1.6 app2sd is working? Is it already active or i need to do something? Thank you :) Reboot in recovery, create an ext2 partition on your sd card and activate apps2sd in the "other menu"

Guest foxdroid Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hey guys, just one question. Is it possible to flash the boot.img from vache or borkata after i flashed the LCR 1.6? I want to root with adb remount permission and as I know, this is impossible with recovery from malez. Thx a lot for the great rom and all your work. foxdroid

LCR is already rooted and adb remount works on it out of box :) You have no need to use my recovery neither, except for installing LCR. Edited May 18, 2010 by malez

BTW flashing LCR1.6 is already rooted.. Edited May 18, 2010 by walterddr
Guest topifone Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Reboot in recovery, create an ext2 partition on your sd card and activate apps2sd in the "other menu" I have already done that in LCR 1.5 and it worked but after install LCR 1.6 apps are installed on system not sd. Do I need to do that again (create ext2, move apps to sd in other menu). I tried move apps to sd without create ext2 (cause I've already have it) but the boot loops forever so I have to re install 1.6 Did I do something wrong?

You need to delete all files from your ext2 sd parition before enabling apps2sd if you have used it before installing LCR 1.6 Do do this use recovery / wipe / wipe sd:ext parition

Guest Piter1225 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Did anyone test THEMES on LCR 1.6? LCR is already themed little bit, but themes for 1.100.05 bin will work.

Guest Piter1225 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 right.. thx to all~~malez, piter, maxisma, behnaam.. all of you ... really well~~ yet still question. if i dont use the other three launcher. can i just delete the .apk in /system/app ? Go to gscript app, there are possibilities for loading scripts which delete launcher which you don't use Also you can delete via adb adb shell rm /system/app/*
Guest bellanano Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 But for app2sd i've to create a unique partition ext2 on sd card or i can create two partitions, for example, one ext2 of 512MB and another one of 7,5Gb ( for a sd of 8 GB) ?
Guest malez Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Go to gscript app, there are possibilities for loading scripts which delete launcher which you don't use Also you can delete via adb adb shell rm /system/app/* Don't use adb Launcher management To revert to the launcher choice when you have selected a default launcher : Settings / Applications / Filter ALL / Select defaut launcher and choose 'remove default action' You can remove integrated launcher from the rom : run gscript lite / Option / Add script / Load file choose the removeXXXX.sh that suits your wish / Save /Run it.

You must create one ext2 patrition + one fat partition (for exemple 512 mo ext2 and 7.5Go fat as you want)
Guest wiiwii0910 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 First of all thx to all of you malez, piter, maxisma, behnaam... I've installed new LCR 1.6 and it works well. Let me ask one question. Does voise search work with this LCR1.6? It seems removed. But I would like to use it then I tried to search it on Android market, but couldn't found. If technicaly possible to use it with LCR1.6, could you advice me how can I download it? Thanks in advance.
Guest HustlinDaily Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 http://code.google.com/p/voicesearch/downl...eSearch_2.1.apk Download that app.
Guest HustlinDaily Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 I was amazed by 1.5. I am BLOWN AWAY by 1.6. The theme is nicer AND it is 20 megs lighter! (i have about 30 apps installed. last time my available space was 65 megs. This time it is 85 megs. Same apps installed. I always cleared cache for everything).
