I have however a recurring "issue" since I left Donut for Eclair : despite sound hacks, the sound is almost inaudible until the volume control reaches 2/3 of the available scale (eg: 5/7 for alerts, 10 or 11/15 for media,...).

Is there a way to correct this? I mean to make volume increase/decrease much smoother, so that the whole scale of the control is useful instead of the last 2 - 3 increments? In other words, I would like that if the cursor on the media, ringtone, system,... volume control is positioned half its way, this really represents 50% of the maximum volume, and not just 10 or 20 % like now.

@Malez and other Liquid gods :rolleyes: Any advice / solution / orientation to solve this issue? Also opened a bug on the wiki, I consider this is not normal behaviour for volume controls

When I connected to the WIFI, I found that I can receive the gmail, and connect to the gtalk server, but I can not open all webpage, and can not download software from the market!

My rom is : 1.100_05 + LCR1.6 (BTW. if I use the 1.100_05 + LCR1.5, no this problem.)

it coould be an issue of the wifi internet connection, have you tried to open the same page in an internet browser not on your phone?

for example: here at work i can't download anything from market since our firewall is blocking such requests.

To have the acer widget you are mentionning, you need to use the original launcher2 (called Applications Launcher without any detail). You won't have it in any other launcher. So reset the default laucher (Settings / Appications / option button - filter - running apps and remove de default action of actual laucher. Then press home and select Applicaiton Launcher.

Note that nemo player is needed with this widget to have a proper acces de pitctures.

Le carroussel n'est disponible que sur le laucher par défaut qui s'appelle "Lanceur d'applications" sans autre présision. Pour retrouver le choix du lanceur par défaut si tu l'as deja effectué : Parametre applications / Filtre / En cours d'execution. Choisis le lanceur et ensuite supprimer les actions par défaut. Appuie ensuite sur home et choisis Lanceur d'application. Note que nemo player est nécessaire pour avoir un aces correct aux photos en passant par le widget des photos.

en...yeah, I can open the same web page in the pc through the sam router (using the wifi too), and, I have try to open the same page in another phone which use the same WIFI, and it work, that's mean the other phone which used the same wifi, can open the same page, but my acer liquid can not.

P.S. My phone is the HongKong version.

maybe is the other phone using opera mini or opera turbo (which uses an external proxy)? there is a proxy configured on your pc browser?

if this is the case i don't know how to configure a proxy on android but you can check opera mini on the market.

the only thing i can say is that i happened to me with other phones.. i think the "tut tut" sound you mention is produced by the carrier not by the phone. also, it happens that when ringing foreign countries that sound changes slightly.

did it happened only once or everytime you call someone? (not only that person)

I have the same problem with all 2.1 :

- When I was in France (with french sim card, etc...), calling french mobile would'nt ring. Calling french normal phone (ie not mobiles), I heard the ring.

- Now I'm in spain, with a spanish sim, and I can hear the ring when I make a call to a spanish mobile. Making a phone call to a normal french numero, rings too. But calling a french mobile doesn't ring.

So I think it's related to french mobiles, expect if this problem appears to some others non-french people :rolleyes:

Unfortunatlyn, this happens on every 2.1 roms.

mm.. with vodafone italy it doesn't happen.. either fixed or mobile numbers

Updated to LCR 1.6 and now sync app crashes when trying to sync any data.

Worked well with 1.4 and 1.5.

Edit: Crashes only when i try to sync contacts...

I can't get my contacts now, because they all are in google contacts...

Apn list is the latest one available but if your provider is not in the list open an issue on bugtracker and i will add it.
