Short overview of LCR 1.7 by Piter1225: Acer LiquidE ROM - Liquid Community ROM 1.7

I look forward to it even more!

Just a little precision. On lcr 1.7 you will have the choice for the user interface. Standard android UI is available and can be choosen. Don't be affraid of stream UI. Stream UI is an interesting experience. Standard android UI is the faster one.

Today I was thinking to return LCR 1.6.

If I do that wipe is needed when will upgrade to 1.7 ?

The widget is Pure Grid Calendar with Eclair skin

In the video I only showed few major changes, other u will see in changelog.

The default UI of ROM will be Android UI which u know from previous LCR. The Stream UI is just an option.

I'm starting to feel true love for you, man, you'd better watch out!

But, more important than my feelings: have you managed to solve the notifications' leds issue? Could sound strange, but I really love them and I find them to be very useful. Most of the time I'm stuck in a laboratory with 30+ machines running and I can't hear my cell ringing nor vibrating so I keep it over an old LCD and I just see if the LEDs are on :)

This is quitly vital for me..

The reason why it was not released is because tests are not over. asphalt must run but i can't confirm for the moment.

No overclock : no kernel source for eclair

but why froyo 2.2 can overclock ??

LCR add 2.1 no kernel source ? 2.2 froyo have it ? :)

or otherthing is no one know how to write 2.1 kernel? :) or lazy to write? no eclair. can copy 2.2 froyo to write it ?

because i test 2.2 froyo alpha version can overclock. :) but need change boot img first.

FroYo is based on the Donut kernal.

Be patient, now that the Liquid E has released, Acer should be releasing the 2.1 sources soon. Once that is done, you can overclock, you can do WiFi tethering and all that good stuff.

In 1.7, will there be a fix for the slow sms problem? On my Liquid with 1.6 & Handcent, sms is next to unusable, every time I get a text message I get a warning "handcent does not respond...", it drives me nuts.

has the slow message load problem been solved??? i think that's one of the major issues that need to be addressed.

(pardon me if it's already been solved, I've not been keeping up with the developmental changes)
