Guest malez Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 anybody can't wait to try it (me too ;)) but i really prefer to have a bug free rom instead of flashing more fixes later. That is the goal. That is the reson why i insist on test phase.
Guest demolition23 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 That is the goal. That is the reson why i insist on test phase. I want to be a tester ;) I have flashing ROMS fever :(
Guest Barleyman Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Can't use thread search for some reason so I'll just ask - I have a problem with the notification icon staying on in the status bar for the default SMS messaging app althought I'm using handcent. Even selecting the sms message from the notification will not clear the icon, I have to use "clear" button for that. This is with helix launcher. I have handcent chosen as the default sms app or at least it comes up from the notification bar. So basically the messaging app and handcent are BOTH running, I even get double notification for SMS. I can disable the handcent notification icon but not the system one, handcent icon works as you'd expect. Can I just remove the messaging app or it will cause problems? I can't stop it from being running in the 1st place as it's a system app, so..

I can't stop it from being running in the 1st place as it's a system app, so.. if i have right understood i can say: first of all notification in the status bar are linked with the app who make them, indeed if you have standard sms android notification enabled you have to open the sms with the standard android sms app in order to clean the notification. Same thing if you have notification of handcent sms enabled --> to clear the notification you have to open the sms with handcent. what you can do is to disable sms notification made by the standard sms android app. it is an option, you have to click "menu" option when you open standard app. i don't know if removing sms app will give you problems....wait for others answer ;) i hope you'll understand my english :( Edited June 16, 2010 by francesco9482

I was looking for settings in the, well, "settings" which didn't have anything like that. Didn't think of checking the standard messaging app.. :) I wonder if the standard messaging app is going to get all the SMS messages anyways and store them separately from handcent. There's also the google talk application running on the background all the time. Fine, but I've never used this thing!
Guest umair9001 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 That is the goal. That is the reson why i insist on test phase. Why don't modaco open up another sub category for those users who can test and produce some results. locked category, only some of them can access..

So we could "test" (actually I just can't wait ! It looks so good !) ;).

Guest malez Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Lol +1 if you report a bug and are able to provide good informations about how to reproduce and myabe some ideas about the cause, you have the profile of a tester
Guest bais Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 I would gladly do that. I have much free time now (vacations yay) so I could pass my time trying different stuff.
Guest fightspv Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Malez, is it possible to become a tester ? I've already reported some bugs and problems with the froyo rom and like to help your team to get one of the best rom (i've done also some dev a long time ago). Also if i find a problem, be sure i'll report it with max info (how reproduce it, logs, ...) thx
Guest gengaro86 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Perfect profile for a tester here. ;) It looks like if everyone would like to be a tester, Malez :(
Guest gengaro86 Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Wouldn't be easier to just release it as a public beta?
Guest malez Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Wouldn't be easier to just release it as a public beta? LCR is a tested and value added rom, we will never provide a public beta. If we release, that is because is worth it.
Guest droug Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 The problem that 3G don“t work after wifi use will be fixed?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Since LCR 1.7 is based on Vache's Stream port (which I am currently using) Can you check this on your LCR 1.7? Is it possible that this is correct? I currently only have 60MB available so if this is true, can you get us access to it? Gut reaction was that must be Stream specs but Stream has 1GHz Snapdragon.
Guest Menerve Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) Whatever the number of ram stipulated, the Acer Liquid has 256MB, it's hardware ;) It's Liquid E specs Edited June 18, 2010 by Menerve
