I don't know why, but i find the LauncherPro Beta on Lcr 1.7 a bit "laggy", it takes 0.5 second for changing the screen (from screen 1 to 2 per exemple).

I don't know if its LauncherPro configuration or if it's beacause i've got 7 screens with lots of Widgets.

Widgets for sure (use a lot of ram and need to be refresehd on screen change) . 7 screens ! May 5 be enough ;)

Something strange when I press "Menu">"Wallpapers">"Wallpapers", all display black.

When use "Home Launcher", only the first theme can be selected. Is it normal?

I wipe all data and reflashed the ROM twice but still no help.

Please advise.

Hello ! This is my first post here

Used so far my Liquid as second phone awaiting a good starting point. I believe we have found the sweet spot. Used all ROMS except Phhroyo ( and xian's now ) because I would not flash back to Donut. As far after these 2 days of use and trying different options I find only one thing annoying: I am now with the Android UI: when in lock mode I get a message on the screen ( before unlocking ) :

"blank line"

protected by antivirus

Before this when trying the other ACER UI, I got this other message:

Questo telefono appartiene a:

"my real name"

protetto con rilevatore GPS

Those were messages I wrote myself with another custom ROM ( do not remember exactly which of them , they were all ported from STREAM ), but now I cannot delete or change the message because I cannot find the right place ( or maybe the right program that had the hint to write messages on the lock screen. All others things go great. Trying registering TWITTER account, OK. Thanks Malez and Co. Regards

Have a look if you have isntalled an application : an antivirus (apk name is VirusFree.apk). When run for the first time, it add this stange message. Uninstall it and reboot removed it.

it has not crashed yet.. i have only synced with google thus far.

Going to sync with outlook and see what happens.

update: after syncing with outlook i get the acore exception. now i cannot add any new contacts.. how do i capture the log file?

Make it crash, send run sendlog application and you will be able to send your log by mail

That is normal : included wallpapers took too much space, they were removed

Don't know which carrier you are using but I use Telia with angio 1.8.

The included telia APN for mms is wrong. (The port should be 8080). No problems with mms after that manual change.

Same here ! My apn need to be setup proxy 10.1.1.1(The port should be 8080) , when open the browser it shows :the server faild tocomunicated. try again later .. But other apps(need internet) works fine.

its never happen on lCR1.6 or any others rom . anyidea?

Since yesterday use this ROM and perfect.

Just Andoid UI with LauncherPro instead Stream interface.

No crash , speed, no batterie drain. Just Nice

BTW ! Internet can works fine on opera & dolphin browser that I install ON 1.7 , but cant works on original browser!! Anyideas?

Hi, I still have the "default home" problem but at least the battery now seems to work fine.

Tonight I left it in standby for 8 hours and it dropped of 3%!! (same as LCR 1.6).

LauncherPro is doing great, fast windows, fast calls, fast everything! ;)

For the home I'll just reinstall it.

Settings -> Sound & Display -> Select ringtone -> "choose application" (between handcent and android system, i choose android system) -> reboots

Wiped cache, wiped dalvik, same issue. Can be replicated

[edit] obviously it reboots even if i try to choose a different notification ringtone

Reinstalling LCR 1.7 solves the problem.

For me it is 3% per hour (which I think is pretty good).

3% overall.

At 23:00 the battery was at 87%.

Next morning at 7:00 it was at 84%.

I had this performances with LCR 1.6 too.

@malez: it was com.antivirus ! But it had no msg. in it, the show msg. case was flagged and I took it off: no more msg. in standby. Made video in 720p and took same photos, better sensitivity and light compared to other Stream portings. Again many many thanks.

On the Stream notification bar, when you plug your USB cord in, it says "Mobile Network Sharing [ON] [OFF]"

Does that mean tethering?

Is there a tethering software built into the Stream?

I am using EasyTether Lite and while good, it does lack features (since it is the free version and not the paid). My damn network (badword AT&T) blocked all tethering apps from the market (cept Barnacle which does not work).

I was going to e-mail EasyTether and see if I could purchase online but figured I would wait for kernel sources from Acer so we can get FroYo (which has built in wifi tethering).

If there is a version built in with the Steram, is there any way LCR could possibly post an apk which would integrate this feature into our Liquids?

I believe im in the situation that the battery level had a sharp decline, too

last night i load a full battery and boot the phone up, then i slept

when i wake up this morning and try to wake up the phone...it is dead...with a heated bottom...

so unplug battery -> plug -> boot up -> freeze -> got heated -> unplug battery....

repeat several times i finaly manage to use the phone and find that the battery level drops to 30%

that is 10%+ per hour

what drives the phone running so wild?...

I can press and hold the Home button to switch in lcr1.6 but can't in 1.7.

everybody have a battery standby problem....hm!!

I use in stream ui, click on your setting and click 2G to save your battery.

it give me battery standby have 3 hrs lost 1%. :(

6hrs lost 2%....too !! :D

don't use live wallpaper can keep battery standby have a long time !! ;)

but sorry .......this setting is 192 rom . not useful in LCR1.7 :)
