Guest umair9001 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Thanks to all creators! Such a great firmware mod. But? how can i restore my original acer non-animated boot splashscreen? I prefer it to the LCR logo. Thank you. from the bin, extract the bootanimation.zip through adb.. adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip C:\
Guest sin_x Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) from the bin, extract the bootanimation.zip through adb.. adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip C:\ This will remove LCR animation bootlogo (i've already done this through AndroidCommander (shell to adb)). But i want to replace the static LCR picture (with big letters and authors around it) just after ther "acer" title (originally it was picture with some droids on it, and i want to flash this original logo). ps. After updating to the LCR my phone ringtone/media volume and incoming sound (not speakerphone) of the phone has become much quieter. Disabling the Dolby option add some loudness to my ringtone, but not to incoming phone sound. Is this a problem of LCR, LiquidE 2.1 or my device? Edited June 23, 2010 by sin_x

Guest simoneser Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 No, he means the screen before bootanimation and after the first screen with "acer" logo with black background. That image is in the boot.img file.

I prefer it to the LCR logo. Thank you. You can't change it without repacking the boot.img. Taking another boot img could break the rom. Just don't reboot ;) Edited June 23, 2010 by malez
Guest malez Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) Can i delete the Acer widget app? It is in system partition. No need to remove if the goal is to install more personnal apps (stored in data). To disable it, in settings / application / UI => set to android and reboot. AcerWidget and Decor won"t be displayed any more (until settings Acer UI in settings) Edited June 23, 2010 by malez
Guest demolition23 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 @LCR team I notice that even if you select Android UI there are 2 tasks that keep runing from Stream. 1.Home 2.com.acer.android.breeze.notification By killing the tasks I m getting 20mb more RAM. Can i delete them, it is safe? I dont need stream UI at all. And one more question, whats the adb commant to install an app in system partition?

Guest demolition23 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) malez I have done that from the first time. Still running. I will unistall the Home app & see if I ll get FC. Edit Done and with fast testing, everything seems to be ok. I only unistall the home app & acer Widgets. Edited June 23, 2010 by demolition23
Guest Riekr Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I can confirm that they still run... a thing that i can confirm is that memory consumption is higher than in lcr1.6, how can i check if they are running? anyway with astro task manager i see breeze.launcher and ze.notification.. i also see a debuggerd (debug mode disabled), mediaserver (what is it? acer one?) driod.delsclock (uh?) there is also an alei switchpro... now i try to uninstall it since i don't want it to take 15,92mb for something i really don't use so often
Guest mmkim Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) where is bouncy ball choice menu?? just one bouncy ball colour?? minus other choice ?? ;) Edited June 23, 2010 by mmkim
Guest devoluti0n Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 I don't really know why, I installed the rom twice, and each time the superuser app disappears... So I can't use applications asking for permitions. I extracted the apk from system\app (superuser.apk) and installed it from a file manager. It doesn't work. Do you know what can I do please ?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 where is bouncy ball choice menu?? just one bouncy ball colour?? minus other choice ?? ;) Run the Stream UI.
Guest uapo7 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 Does lcr 1.7 use more internal memory than lcr 1.6? Now with 1.7 i have to remove almost every game, what i had in 1.6. And my phone says often, that memory is gettin low. And i dont want to use apps2sd. Am i right, that stream ui uses lot of internal memory? I only use basic android ui, so i dont need stream ui. So can devs make new optional lcr 1.7, what is same than now, but it has only android ui, no option for stream ui?

You are the one !! Try to root using the recovery - latest method . (LCR is already rooted out of box except for you ;) )

You can remove them i you don't use them. Maybe I wil provide a script to remove unused apps when not using stream at all. try to wype your dalvik too I don't have time for the moment Edited June 23, 2010 by malez

Guest demolition23 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 You won"t have any crash until you access Settings/UI and try to change I tried already to change to Acer UI. I only get Stream Lockscreen and for launcher only the LauncerPro. Everything seems to working fine. No FC at all. OK but still I prefer android UI.
Guest malez Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 OK but still I prefer android UI. Same here ;) But I prefer to let users choose by themselves How much additionnal ram ?
